Maybe I have a slightly unfavorable view of this restaurant because I was taken there on a whim on a day when my dress was casual, to say the least. Upon entering, I knew I was out of my element based on the men in at least shirt and tie, and ladies in skirts and heels (business attire). My boyfriend and myself were asked to remove our ballcaps. I was mortified, but soldiered through... This restaurant is truly beautiful. The building itself has gorgeous woodwork and architectural details, plus there are many antiques, and a lovely bar. The food was good, but in my opinion, overpriced, and a bit ham-handed in how it was finished. For instance, I had a tuna steak, that was oversalted, and would have been much better if the character of the basic ingredient was allowed to express itself instead of trying to drown it in an esoteric mix of spices that were beyond the chops of the chef on duty.
