It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

I try to stay here when I can. The location is great. I like old skool. The room only had a clock, and I like a clock radio in the morning. They got one for me immediately. Not a big deal, but a big deal to me. more

Nice, clean hotel with accommodating staff. We would return. Breakfast was included which was nice. The location was good with close proximity to everything at the University of Michigan. Rooms included microwave and small fridge. more

We luckily stumbled on this hotel while trying to find another.\r We were greeted by an enthusiastic staff; our room was very clean, comfortable and included a kitchenette; (ie sink, stove, oven; microwave; fridge, coffee pot (all worked) plus cabinets overhead) and even supplied with a few pots/plates, \r The microwave came in handy when I reheated a breakfast bagel. \r We were very pleased with the facilities, staff, location; and price. more

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. \r Location is not to near or far from downtown.\r Beds were comfortable and larger than the standard double. Small refrigerator but it worked well. Housekeeping staff did a nice job.\r Non smoking facility, considering the age of the building, no smokey or musty odors present. Good value for the money. more

The king size bed was very comfortable. So glad there was a kitchenette that we could do our own cooking. That was a plus. Front desk attendants were always helpful and very pleasant. more

We tried the Lampost before the new owners over a year ago, we thought it was tired but a good value. We were just back for the Game a few weeks ago (our team won, so it was perfect week end) and the new owners have done a great job! They keep the cool tile in the bath rooms from the 1950's but every thing else is tasteful upgraded! management was very helpful also, with getting tickets and suggestions for dining. Best part is its still best deal in town! Coming back for a wedding NYs eve! Tip, call the front desk, ask for one of the upgraded rooms, you'll get the best deal. more

Nice and affordable hotel in Ann Arbor. Convenient location near our child who is a student at the university. Comfortable beds and rooms, with a refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast and friendly staff. more
