Despite the previous attempt for a bad review, Ame Arlt is a true professional in every aspect 12/28/2006

Ame Arlt has been around horses all of her life. She is knowledgeable in almost every field of the sport. From shoes to saddles to helmets to bits, Ame Arlt knows how to help you. Not only does Mrs. Arlt has numerous connections in this horse business, she has watched the Middle Tennessee Hunter Jumper Association flourish throughout the years. The dressage ""rider"" that wrote the previous review must of been a worthless attempt for understanding Mrs. Arlt's passion and I personally feel sorry that this person is inept to understand. Anyone that goes into this store looking for something for their horse Ame has it and is proud to sell it to you. Not only things for your horse, she has beautiful gift ideas and wonderful attire for the equestrian field. Not only is she a wonderful salesperson, she is completely knowledgeable on what you need. She will not sell you something that you don't need. The only other store in the area is filled with bitter old maids that want you to waste your money on the inappropriate equipment for your horse. You would be a fool to not shop at the wonderful store, The Tack Trunk. Pros: Thumbs up more

The Rudest Tack Shop in the Known World 9/12/2006

I own and operate a moderate (20 horse) dressage and eventing barn, and buy a ton of tack every year, not only for myself but for a lot my riding students. One visit to the Tack Trunk convinced me to take my business elsewhere. The people who work there acted like I was an intruder in their little clubhouse just by being there and breathing their air! When I did buy one rather expensive item (one that I really needed, and couldn't find elsewhere), all of a sudden they were all over me. I've probably spent $25K or more on tack since myone and only visit to the Tack Trunk, and won't be back there any time soon. Pros: One of the few english tack shops in the Nashville area. Cons: Snotty staff, high prices, zero customer service. more
