The Sofa Company - Redondo Beach

I rarely write negative feedback on any company, but this one is the exception. If you’re thinking of getting anything from this store…FAIR WARNING….Do Not Buy Here. In fact, run the other way. My experience started off nicely with a pleasant salesgirl, but ended up with harassment, and a company that does not honor its agreements.\r I entered the store and explained what I needed and exactly how much I could spend (I was looking for an inexpensive couch for a small living room). I emphatically told the salesgirl that I didn’t have much money, that I traveled a lot, and that all I needed was a simple couch for a small area. She made her suggestion, offered me a deal, and we agreed. I received the call from her to pick it up, rented a small van and arrived at the store with my credit card. We examined the couch, and she even helped me load it. I gave her my credit card, she charged it for our agreed price, and I asked her if there was anything else she needed. She said no, and told me to enjoy the couch. The next thing I get is an invoice for TWICE the amount agreed upon, followed by pestering calls and emails. I was shocked. I responded a couple of times via email, and even offered to give back the couch (which to that point hadn’t been used), and they insisted on pushing for the money….to the point of contacting a collection agency!\r To avoid frustration, stress, and the chance that they could ruin my credit, I am now paying what they want. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE. This company is not worthy of anyone’s patronage.” more

This was a good shopping experience. The sales people are knowledgeable and helpful, but not at all pushy. Vanessa is a special professional. We've been searching for a new comfy chair for my husband for almost 2 years. It had to be just right and for the right price. I saw this add in a magazine and it lead us to The Sofa Company in Redondo Beach. We tested out the chair and then wondered off and started trying out the sofa's. We found quality, tasteful good quality fabrics, and a very knowledgeable Design Consultant named Vanessa. We didn't by the chair but we bought two sofa's and a different chair. We stopped in twice. Once to decide what we wanted, and to take home some fabric swatches. Then we came back again a few days later to buy three pieces of furniture: An ottoman, a sofa, and a loveseat. We liked being able to get it custom made exactly the way we wanted it rather than just settling for something close. We looked at custom furniture in the past elsewhere and have been stunned by how expensive it was. At The Sofa Company we found reasonable prices. The staff was friendly and put us at ease. Frustrated because you can't find the ""right"" sofa for your home? Try The Sofa Company. Their motto: It does't exist until you build it. The knowledgable staff will walk you through the process of designing your own sofa. This company also reupholsters furniture.
