The Sofa Company - Pasadena

My husband and I have been searching for a sectional and a sofa for over a year at both custom furniture stores and traditional furniture stores. We have not been able to find exactly what we wanted at the traditional stores, and were discouraged by the prices of the custom stores...until we found the Sofa Company. From the moment we arrived, Chad, the manager, patiently guided us through the entire process. We realized that we could choose different styles, but we did not realize how much variety we could have within any given style. Chad gave us space when we needed to debate our options, and he answered all of our questions (those we asked, and those we didn't even realize we should ask). I hate pushy sales people and used-car-dealership-atmospheres, and the Sofa Company was just the opposite. When Chad saw us looking at a particular fabric that my husband and I loved (but we later learned was on the pricier side), Chad helped guide us to similar fabrics of the same quality but a much more reasonable price. He saved us hundreds of dollars, and helped us design the most comfortable, beautiful and affordable couch we've seen. We could not be happier. The only suggestion we have for prospective customers is to leave yourselves plenty of time to spend in the store, designing exactly what you want. There are so many options, but you will get exactly what you want. Also, if you can avoid peak times (we went on a Saturday afternoon), that will probably be best. The staff are very helpful, the prices are low and the options are plentiful! It is the best place to find the EXACT sofa you are looking for, because you can create it yourself from many, many options. more

The staff was very attentive and helpful. We needed help customizing a few pieces of furniture. When we got confused with some of the decisions, the staff person that was helping us was extremely patient. Plus, she continued to provide us with great options. She had an unbelievable amount of patience as we kept changing our minds and adding new parameters. We never felt rushed. The choices were great and there was never any pressure. more

Aftern running arund from one furniture store to another without success., my husband spotted the add in the LA Times for ""The Sofa Factory"". The Pasadena Sstore was easy to locate. When we walked in to the store, the customer service person was very courtious and helpful. Walke around with us to figure out what we were interested in and showed us many sofas as to our liking. We were able to put together the sofa, love seat and side chair that we would be very happy with. I can't wait to see the finished product. more

If you know what you want in a sofa but don't know where to find the darn thing, the sofa company will customize a sofa to order for you. You get to pick the fabric, the size, all the pieces (if it's a sectional) and the stuffing... and it's easy!! The staff is very helpful. My husband and I walked with an idea in our minds and the people a there helped us make that idea into a sectional that fits our syle and home. Definately a place to check out if you're in the market. more

I just ordered a sofa at the Sofa Company in Old Town, Pasadena. I brought in a picture of a very pricey sofa, and with the many choices available, was able to design one that is nearly identical but at a fraction of the cost. We were referred by a friend in our endless search for the perfect sofa. And we finally found it. We looked everywhere to no avail for a couch or sectional that would fit in a large spot of our living room. When we arrived at The Sofa Company we immediately new we were at the right place. Victoria was so helpful and immediately helped us find the right sectional for our space and the best part was that we were able to customize the size. I have been looking for a new couch for over a year and saw the ad for The Sofa Company in the LA Times. Having come here with a friend, I liked that the salewoman, Victoria, did not hover over us. She allowed us time to look and checked on us periodically and answered all my questions. I am looking forward to having the new couch in my TV room! more

Jeannie, the salesperson, greeted us with such a positive attitude and with knowledge that I immediately thought ""At last, I've found a place to get what I want."" I needed a small scale L-shaped sectional. She listened to what I wanted then showed me how it could be accomplished. She had suggestions for details that I had not considered. the best part of my experience (besides the entire pasadena staff being ultra friendly and helpful) was the lack of sticker shock when it came time to talk prices. i was sure that the fabric i wanted was going to be way out of my price range (as it usually goes with me, sigh..) but to my pleasant suprise, i was told it was not only one of the most affordable fabrics, but also one of the most durable. i was beyond excited from that moment on. the couch ended up looking perfect in the space and we love to hang out on it. thanks for coming to the valley, sofa company! more

I had been looking to replace the sofas in my living room for about the last three years. I happened to pass by The Sofa Company while driving around Pasadena, and intended to just ""check it out"". Well, I was immediately impressed by the immense selection of beautiful styles and fabrics on display. It?s difficult for me to envision the look of a sofa from a fabric swatch, but at the Sofa Company, I was able to see many of the fabric swatches actually on the sofas, so that really closed the deal for me to finally make a decision. The sales associate helping me, Peter, was really pleasant to work with. He invested a lot of time answering my questions and lending his design expertise to address my needs of balancing style with the reality of having small children in the home. As we were finalizing my order, I just happened to express my concern over what I would do with my old sofas. I didn?t want them to end up in the landfills as they are still very useful, but I wanted the convenience of hauling them away with the arrival of the new ones.
