I adopted a dog, unfortunately she had more issues than I could handle. She was shy, aggressive with strangers and destructive in the house. I wanted someone to come to my house and show me what to do. I called Smartydog and they recommended behavioral obedience classes. Everything they told me on the phone made sense but I really needed someone to come to the house. I found another trainer who came to my house three times a week, but after a two months and a sizeable investment my dog wasn't making any progress. On the recommendation of my Veterinarian I took my dog to classes at the Smartydog Center. I can't even begin to tell you how well she is doing. The classes were not at all what I expected. There are so many life skills & confidence exercises. I really learned how to connect with my dog, if she gets stressed I can help her relax. This place was the best match for my dog and I. more

I have taken 3 classes with my dogs. I was a little worried that I might get bored repeating a class with my second dog. I was surprised how each class was different and each class was just what my dog needed. Martha is very good at helping each dog reach it's potential. I recommend the Smartydog Center to my friends & co-workers with confidence knowing that they will get what they need for their dog. more

I didn't think I needed to take my puppy to puppy obedience classes, but I am so glad i did. I was thinking "how hard could it be to train a puppy". Well, let me tell you my puppy was crazy. Then I met a lady at the park and she had a puppy the same age as mine. Her puppy was awesome. Baxter walked nicely on a leash and came when he was called, even if he was playing with my puppy. She told me that her puppy was going to dog training classes in Cheshire at the Smartydog Center. I checked out their web site to find the next available puppy class and signed my puppy up for puppy classes. The classes were very helpful, we both learned a lot. It's working so well that I am going to sign up for their Behavioral Obedience Course too. more
