I have been shopping at this consignment shop for over 10 years. The articles are priced reasonably and are very clean. The owner has always been receptive to accepting a negotiated price on items if they are out of season. Victoria is honest and never tries to misrepresent the item for the sake of making a sale. She operates a well-run small business and Seminole is blessed to have her in our community. Jewell more

This place is the worst. In trying to be the bigger person in the situation, I think that I should just feel sorry for them. \r I've been consigning for years, and frequently end up befriending the owners and staff of Consignment Stores. Finding bargains and selling bargains is fun, it's not rocket science. The idea is that we all win!\r Well, I guess that's not the philosophy at the Second Time Around in Seminole. Looking down their noses at me AND my things, the two staff members behind the desk couldn't be less interested. Obviously not enamored with what they do for a living, they were rude and disrespectful of me and the boxes of things I brought in to (P.S.) try and make us ALL money. Neither of them offered to help with either carrying or the lifting of even the smallest of objects onto the counter. They were miserable in their attitudes and their behavior. As I say, I feel sorry for them. What a way to live.\r My suggestion? Try these places instead. ""I"" personally have been given luke warm attention on the few occasions that I have been to this store. I ""DO"" frequent a couple other stores in the county & they have always been more than happy to give discounts to veterans - even if it's only a small 10%. When I inquired about this here? WOW, did I get a very rude response that her prices were already very low. Honey, YOUR prices are NOT low in comparison to other stores in Pinellas County. But I still occasionally have gone back to check things out.\r \r BUT . . . the deal breaker now? I visited the store yesterday to see about consigning. I brought in many items that were not only in much better condition that many items that I've seen in this location? But half of them still had TAGS on them, as they had never even been worn.\r \r After the 2 young staff members there looked them over . . . they young girl proceeded to tell me that they could not use any of the items as they either ""were damaged, had stains or were out-dated"". \r \r Well, firstly, even IF this were to be the case . . . are you kidding me? You actually SAID this to a customer?\r \r But secondly . . . given what I stated above as the condition of these garments . . . when I got home I told my sister's & the neighbor what I was told. \r \r We spent the next HOUR, each of us, going over EACH item. We found NO ""stains"" OR ""damage"" to ANY of the garments. We still are not sure about the out-dated remark, as the items with tags on them were purchased within the last 6 months, & to be honest with you? FAR newer than many of the items I have seen in this store.\r \r SO, in conclusion? Not only will ""I"" NEVER frequent this location again . . . but now neither will any of my family or neighbors. And I can pretty much assure you . . . that anyone that any of us come into contact with? Will not visit this store either.\r \r So ""Second Time Around"" . . . They were additionally impressed as I had each of\r \r my garments on hangers & ready to be released for immediate sale.\r more

Love this shop. Lot's of bargains. Furniture, nic naks and clothing for the whole family. Good place to take your gently used clothes that the designer consignment shops won't take. Heavy traffic on Seminole Blvd makes it a good bet that your stuff will be sold. more

This is the place you want to go, to find a treasure. High end.. Choices.. Variety.. From tonight's outfit to tomorrow's breakfast nook. This is my Gem.... And they are very professional but sweethearts. It's a awesome win win....Enjoy Stephanie more

I have been shopping at this consignment for years, and it is awesome! There is everything from furniture, household items, clothing for men, women and kids--the selection is really the best around, and I am a serious shopper! It's clean, well lit and the layout is easy to move around. I can't tell you how many thrifts and consignments I have been in that people are on top of each other, or there is gross dressing rooms or poor lighting--augh!! Not at this shop, the owner makes sure the place is customer friendly. The owner, Victoria has really good taste is stuff, so I am always pleased there isn't a bunch of junk or awful stuff thrown in, it really is hand picked. I am from the New England area, and I make sure I always make this a must on my list of places to visit. I read the previous review about the owner Victoria and I have to disagree after more than say 50+ visits, she has always kind, and she remembers that I am from out of town and always welcomes me back. more

I went to the Second Time Around consignment store for the first time because the location was convenient and the storefront was clean and organized. The selection of ladies' clothing is well-presented, and the prices are mostly quite reasonable (more on that in a second). Clothing is arranged by item (pants, dresses, shirts, etc.) and then by size, and kept very neat. The labels are mostly ""nicer"" mall brands - Abercrombie & Fitch, Macy's/Dillards store brands, Aeropostal, etc. with some items from Target, JCPenney, and Old Navy mixed in. The stuff is in excellent to good condition. There are also some men's clothes, a row of plus sizes, and a small baby section with a furniture and housewares section on the other side of the building.\r \r Now, for the negative - and it's a big one. The store's proprietor is snippy, rude, and downright unpleasant. I have, on several occasions, heard ""Victoria"" making nasty comments behind the backs of paying customers who were no more than a few feet away. She constantly has a scowl on her face, and has been known to make snide comments if you dare to take too many items into the fitting room and then not buy ""enough"" - even when the sale in question is over $50! Her phone manners are non-existant, and she has zero patience with the consigners that keep her in business. As she is the only one working 75% of the time, this can be a real problem. I will no longer shop or consign with her, because her bad attitude is a real turnoff. Keep an ear out when you are in this store, because she could be muttering about YOU! Other things I have heard her complaing about: people bringing small kids into the store, people talking too loudly, people not leaving the hangers in pristine condition... good grief.\r \r Her brand knowledge needs help, too. More than once I have seen outrageous prices on items that she snidely told me were ""very expensive brands"" that really are not. Not to mention faux designer purses priced as the real thing.
