Good to Wake Up and See! 11/3/2010

Overall great experience.\r \r I was legally blind when I first came to Dr. Pham and the day after the lasik surgery I see 20/15. Dr. Pham and his staff were amazing. They make you feel totally comfortable in your decision to get LASIK. I feels good to wake up in the morning and be able to see. I appreciated Dr. Pham and his courtesy call the same night after the surgery also shows how dedicated he is to his patients. more

I was really scared about getting LASIK 10/30/2010

I was scared to get LASIK surgery but the motivation to shed my glasses and contacts brought me in to see Dr. Pham. Dr. Pham was phenomenal. He was honest, reassuring, and professional. He gave me better than 20/20 vision and I am appreciative. If you are freaked out over this surgery as I was, go have SD Lasik Institute do it and you will be fine! They are so patient, so expeirenced, and so careful. more

Active Marine with Extreme Prescriptions 10/27/2010

It's kind of hard to explain how happy I have been having Dr. Pham as my LASIK surgeon. I have been in glasses since I was 3 to 4 years old, I am also an active duty Marine. I have been turned down twice by my military doctor, they said the procedure was not advanced enough to correct my vision to the point that I would no longer need glasses... They told me a Civilian doctor might do it, just because they would be paid to do my LASIK surgery. So I was kinda let down about that, they basically told me anyone would just lie so they could get paid. So one day, my wonderful wife decided to find me a laser doctor that cold help. Dr. Pham was that man. He genuiniely cares for his patients. As far as the procedure went, when I walked in they checked my vision, and they said they could do it. On the day of my procedure I was really excited. Everything went very well, I just had some discomfort in my right eye. You will notice some discomfort first few hours, so just try to sleep. It goes away. I no longer need glasses. I see better than I have in my entire life. I can not explain how much it means to just be able to see. I was legally blind, now have zero corrective vision. My advice to ANYONE wearing glasses or contacts, please, do yourself a favor, just stop by Dr. Pham's office. Everyone is very polite, and DR Pham is far better than your optometrist (trust me more

Every lasik surgery should be a work of art. 11/18/2009

I called and set up a free LASIK consultation with the San Diego LASIK Institute.. If it were not for my Boxer puppy completely destoying my glasses, I don't think i would have jumped in the way that I finally did but now that it's done, I couldn't be more happy with my LASIK surgery. In making my decision to put my ""trust"" with Dr. Pham, this one statement grabbed me.. ""He is a Lasik Surgeon that believes that every LASIK surgery done should be a work of art."" Simple words right. But poetry to an Artist. We know exactly how each work of art is unique and individual in itself and with everything we do we give it 100% of our best. \r \r It took me a long time to finally decide to go ahead with LASIK surgery. I had researched my options for several years back. At first, the need wasn't greater than the fear. Having a lazy eye since birth, I knew the first thing that had to take was my ability to ""trust"" the LASIK doctor of choice, without reservations. I was unsuccessful in finding that confidence in somebody initially. I found many places that seemed to be worth my attention. In fact, I was nearly sold on a doctor in Los Angeles. Then one day, while searching closer to home, I discovered Dr. Pham. I had seen the website for the LASIK institute before but for some reason had skipped past it. Maybe I thought it seemed too easy? I'm not sure... Anyway, I clicked on it this time. \r \r Of every other pice of information and knowledged gained reading up on lasik, those simple words stuck out the most for me. Having seen many doctors over the years, he's a true Artist. Not only in his skill but also in his care and the time he takes to know everything about your situation for the best possible results for your lasik surgery. He's patient and considerate. \r \r Dr. Pham truly cares and that shows throughout your LASIK experience. I wish all doctors were more like him and the same goes for his staff. I found it easy to trust Dr. Pham and have confidence in his ability to do what's best for me and my situation. Thank you to Dr. Pham and his LASIK Institute. They made LASIK feel like a walk in the park. Pros: Caring, through lasik doctor. Cons: Financial Investment more
