Keratin Straightening Treatment= Awesomeness 5/29/2015

Some would say I am overly anal about my hair. For over 15 years I have methodically straightened my wavy, course, unruly hair with a straightening iron. This grueling process took me anywhere from 30-40minutes to achieve the straightened look I desired! It’s not only frustrating to me but imagine how annoyed my husband was waiting for me to get ready! A month ago I was completely fed up and decided to get the Keratin straightening treatment. Words can’t express how life changing this treatment was! Yes, it sounds pathetic but honestly I’m a happier person because of it!!! It now only takes me 10 minutes to do my hair and all I have to do is dry it with a brush- NO iron needed!!! I have more free time in the morning before work, more time to spend with my kids and not only do I now get ready quicker than my husband, my hair stays straight the entire day no matter what the weather is. Before I used to loathe getting ready because the process was so labor intensive, now I don’t b more

The Salon 16 West 4/28/2011

I moved full time to the Cape two years ago assuming I would keep my nail tech, hair stylist, and esthetician from back home. After traveling 2 hours for each of these appointments, I decided I needed to find a place here on the Cape. I found Salon 16, and I've never been happier. They are terrific. I love Tara, Michelle, and Mahara. I have my new favorite people all in one place. Melanie is always pleasant as is everyone in that shop. Thank you. more

Great All-Around! 4/18/2011

So glad I discovered this salon! It's a fabulous experience from the moment you walk in. The staff is very welcoming and are quick to offer beverages included a brand of tea made by one of the employees (which is delicious by the way!). Amanda, my hairstylist, is creative, talented, and incredibly nice! She saved me by squeezing me in before my wedding, when another stylist (at a different salon) had backed out of doing my final cut & color last minute. Amanda always does a great job, plus it's quick and affordable. I love this salon! more

When I moved to Cape Cod almost 2 years ago, I dreaded the task of finding a new hair stylist. After researching online, asking for recommendations, and peeking thru shop windows, I settled on Amanda at Salon 16 West. I was hopeful, but nervous.\r For my first 3 visits, all I would let Amanda do is trim my long, blunt hair. I?ve had some bad experiences in the past, so it takes me a while to build up my comfort level with a stylist. After some urging from friends, family and Amanda, I decided it was time to let her ?do her thing.? The results were AMAZING. She is the only hairstylist who?by providing a great cut and recommending the right products?has been able to take advantage of my hair?s natural wave. I now have a short, relaxed style that is simple to care for, and everyone tells me I look 10 years younger!! What more can you ask for? \r \r I also took my college-age niece to see Amanda. The Salon 16 West is a top-notch salon. Great people, great services, great atmosphere. Always warm and inviting, caring and asking what they can do to make you more comfortable. They contribute to their community and are always working to improve their staff and services. Diane and Melanie are awesome, Tara gives the most gentle pedicure I have ever had, and every other service I have experienced there has been excellent. I do not hesitate to recommend the Salon 16 to friends. more

I get my facials and eyebrow waxing done at this salon by Mahara. I am always greeted when I arrive. My appointment starts on time. Mahara has a line of facial products and is very helpful when it comes to selecting the products I need. \r I do get a sense while I am there that everyone seems to enjoy the work environment. more

Salon 16 is the best! Just started going there as my stylist, Sacha (who is also the best colorist and stylist!) moved there. Salon 16 is neat, organized, and clean. The staff is gracious, warm, and friendly! I go to a salon to 'escape' the everyday world. Salon 16 is the perfect escape, relaxing, calm, and I come out looking like a million bucks! more

I want my time in a salon to be a happy experience, free of the outside world , and focused on me. That's what I get everytime I enter Salon 16 West. I am welcomed when I enter, offerered a beverage and rarely ever have to wait for my service. But the most important thing that happens there is, everyone LISTENS to you.\r They want you to be satisfied, and you will be. more

I have been a client at Salon 16 since day one! Exceptional service and quality products everytime. Mahara's skin care products are fantastic and a great value. She does an impeccable Brow and Bikini wax. I would highly recommend this business. more

Michele has been my "go to girl" at Salon 16 for several years. She never fails to give me a great haircut and fabulous color. As a 6 month Cape Cod resident, I also appreciate her knowledge of our community. She frequently shares a good tip on a new restaurant or shop. It's just a fun and talented team of professionals. more
