Good Place for Night Owls...... 1/17/2005

It's open 24/7, food is rather good (at least consistent), and there's always an attractive crowd here........what more can you ask for. I'd definitely recommend any of the yummy greasy finger foods, as well as the baked onion soup! If you have the ultimate munchies, this is the place! Pros: Inexpensive, Consistent more

The Kettle is good, friendly, and a great bang for your buck. Get the walnut turkey salad sandwich or any of their soups. Breakfast is great too - awesome pancakes. more

BLECH!! 11/23/2002

Well, I've had worse, but not much. No Corned Beef Hash & Eggs - no lox - no chorizo - the breakfast burrito was strange (the tortilla was so stale that parts of it couldn't be cut with a knife - and the refried beans, that did have good flavor, weren't warm enough to melt the grated cheese on top) - blueberry pancakes made blueberry by adding a glob of some blueberry compote to the top - oh yeah, cardboard bacon. It's back to Nick's for us tomorrow!! The place did have great music though - Frank Sinatra & Mel Torme!! more

great food for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! the atmostphere is right for going out with friends or just for fun, but not so much if you're trying to be romantic. order breakfast! served anytime, it can't be beat. more

I think the Kettle has been around forever. If not, it feels like it. The location is the most central spot in Manhattan Beach - just up from the pier and the absolute HUB of the town. The food isn't fantastic - really just coffee shop fare. But the menu is quite large as are the portions. I recommend this place. more

Practically the only place in Manhattan Beach that stays open all night long. It's located in the heart of Downtown Manhattan. There is a lot to choose from on their menu and the food is pretty good. You get a lot for what you pay for. The tuna manhattan is really good. You'll probably have to take half of it home since the portions are pretty huge. more
