Wonderful Insight 1/7/2018

Although the company I work for does a great job with informing us on what are benefits are and how they work, The Retirement Group takes it a step further and explains how each different option would look moving forward into retirement. The seminar was very informative and the meeting I had with the specialist was even more so. I have seen many colleagues retire and regret the decisions they made soon after leaving the company. I do not want that for myself. Another comforting aspect is that I never felt I was being sold. I hate that! I feel very confident in retirement now and understand the importance of planning. more

Informative seminars but the food was not great 12/28/2017

I went to seminar of The Retirement Group and learned way more than I expected. I knew quite a bit prior but there are quite a few specific details that I overlooked. Being that I have worked so hard for retirement, I want to ensure I do the right things. Seems like they are here to make sure I do just that. Only complaint was the food was semi-cold when I received it. Room was smaller as well. Small details really as the information made it worthwhile. more

Go sooner rather than later 12/26/2017

I have always been a little unsure about how retirement might look for me as I didn't really understand my benefits with Verizon. I went to several seminars hosted by Brian Pearce and, I mean to tell ya, I learned more than I could have imagined. I usually don't go to these types of things but I am not getting any younger and retirement is not too far out. I have been working with Brian on putting a plan together and it feels good having a plan in place. My only complaint is I wish I would have started sooner. Thanks for the great info and look forward to working together soon. more

Value for your time 12/26/2017

I have attended several Chevron seminars at The Hotel Mac in the past and I am always impressed with the knowledge they have. Michael Lee and Steve Boblis are very proficient in the plans we have. The benefits we have can get complex for some. It is good to find a group willing to learn these plans and educate us in turn. Everyone that goes talks about how much they enjoy it plus who can turn down a good meal to go along with it. Regardless if I work with them or not, they have been a tremendous resource. No complaints from me. more

Do yourself a favor and attend a seminar 12/21/2017

I have been to several seminars for AT&T employees and they do a fantastic job explaining our benefits and helping plan for retirement. Tyson Mavar does a great job presenting and is very knowledgeable. Admittedly I was hesitant at first to join but I am very glad I did. more

Seminar for EM employees 6/25/2014

I work for ExxonMobil and went to my third retirement planning seminar this week; this one was sponsored by The Retirement Group. The location was great, food was terrible, but the information was incredible. I was expecting to hear about their investment program, but instead learned some interesting facts about my pension. Afterwards I was followed up with by one of the advisors, Tyson Mavar, not looking to pressure me into an appointment to discuss my investments, but making sure I had a good experience and didn't have additional questions. Really made me feel comfortable, I will be seeing them again. more

Insightful and interesting 12/26/2013

After the seminar I attended, I will be heading to The Retirement Group for their services. To the person below, I'm not sure how exciting you expect a retirement tax planning seminar to be, but it gives you what you expect. The material is informational and not supposed to be soo entertaining. I loved having the free lunch (BBQ is my favorite) and how the crowd had asked many "dumb" questions as I did. The atmosphere was welcoming as it was really friendly. John Jastremski took it home and for that you earned a loyal customer! more

I’m not quite sure what seminar the other people before me went to…but I had a mediocre time at best. The speaker, whose name I cannot for the life of me remember, was so boring that I was falling asleep in my chair. I did not have the best time. I won’t be going back. more

I've gone to three seminars thus far and have found my understanding of my 401(k) getting better. I was given something called a retirekit that helps me sign up for and plan my retirement more

Retirement Advisors Richard Gigliotti and Tyson Mavar 10/8/2013

I go to several seminars every year with the Retirement Group. Richard Gigliotti gives a great presentation every time. He always has the latest news on pensions and my 401k. I have also met with another advisor Tyson Mavar, who has taught me a lot about my retirement options. I recommend this group to all my coworkers who are interested in retirement planning. more

Knowledgeable, Convenient Locations 9/9/2013

The couple seminars I attended helped to explain the whole pension planning process which enables me to really get a better picture of my retirement. I didn’t realize how little I knew until I went. Joe Haywood graciously shared his comprehension of pensions more specifically with what to expect and gave me a better time frame on when I could actually retire and receive my monthly payments, that’s priceless information to me. more

Okay seminar. 1/6/2013

I went to a The Retirement Group workshop for ExxonMobil employees last week. TBrent Wolf and Richard Gigliotti. know the XOM Pension, 401(k), IRA, and pension plans like no other company I have talked. My advice to anyone is to attend the workshops and take advantage of the free Retire Kit. The Retirement Group provided food for us but it was bland and the room was stuffy and small. The presentation was pretty informative though and the speaker was engaging. I recommend it! more
