Everyday I looked forward to enjoying W 6th St during happy hour at JBlacks. Relaxed. Chill. Genuine. \r
The people were classy, the conversation was genuine and most of all, there was a group that i could relate to and enjoy my off time with. \r
\r
Then came The Ranch (sigh). Bob Woody, the so- called ""Mayor"" of 6th ST., and his ego had moved down yonder to the safe haven of W. 6th.\r
At first it wasn't so bad and there was some hope that it would remain cool and collect. However, i soon found out that you can take something beautiful and completely destroy it without a care in the world. It turned from calm to loud and then obscene. From classy to trashy and from pleasurable to near nauseating. The trash that litters the front curb was never that bad before and the fights that ensue every single week (invoked by the bouncers pulled straight from the various other ""Woody"" bars such as the ""Blind Pig"" and the ""Dizzy Rooster"") just made the night worse. OH, and the people that frequent The Ranch are complete BOB ""WOODIOTS.""\r
\r
This ""Special"" crowd is pulled straight from the worst part of 6th St. and placed into what could have been the best part\r
These idiots are ""lifers."" \r
\r
Bob Woody could care less about his neighbors or the welfare of his patrons (just drive by during the weekends and see the sea of people just stumbling in almost every lane trying to hail a cab). \r
\r
After ripping off the name off an ""established"" and ""respected"" restaurant just a block away (Ranch 616), he is successfully alienating the bars around him who actually care about those that come in to chill and actually relax.\r
\r
Unfortunately, my friends and I have decided to never go back. \r
\r
P.S.\r
Those cocktails may have been hired for their busts, but definitely not for drink execution.
Pros: Zero
Cons: Trashy, Violent, and absolutely suffocating.
