I have been going to The Provo Car Doctors for the last 2 years. I am very happy with the level of service I have received. They are fast, reaonably priced, and only do what is necessary. They will treat you the same way or better then their own family. I highly reccomend you give them a try and you to will become part of the family like I have. I have been taking my truck to Provo Car Doctors for over 3 years. It now has 256K miles on it and Nate has taken care of it for the last 150K miles. He fixes what I ask him to fis at the best rate I have found, and he points out any other problems that he hinds and lets me decide when I will have it taken care of. \r \r My wife hates going to mechanics because of the typical way they treat women. I have heard from others how great Provo Car Doctors is and it was nice to read the same online. I decided to drop off my car and was pleasantly surprised to get a phone call explaining some options. I didn't feel forced or obligated in any way to do more work, however it was nice to understand how it would save money now with the work that was already being done. Nate was avoiding the later question I would have asked like anyone else ""would this have been cheaper when we did the work last time?"". I am glad my NEW mechanic takes the time to not just do what we talked about, but makes recommendations on what will need to be done in the upcoming months - so I (not my mechanic) can make the right choice now. Took a car there I was considering buying. Reasonable cost to do a pre-buy inspection. Pointed out realistic items needing immediate attention and those that could wait. I wouldn't hesitate to return. more

I recommend the Provo Car Doctors to everyone I know. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I have taken my car there many times for an oil change. It's refreshing to have a company who isn't always trying to up sale me something my car doesn't need. I have an older car that needs a little work, they helped me know what needs to be fixed now and what can wait instead of telling me it all has to be fix immediately. I go to Provo Car doctors for all of my vehicle questions. They are very eager to help and they are very knowledgeable. They won't sell you on random things that most car shops will sell you. They will go through and tell you what needs to be done and then give you a projected time frame for when they would recommend you get it done. They also provide free road trip inspections. I go in and get my vehicle checked out before I go on a trip to make sure there won't be some preventable problem along the way. So I had a truck that we just purchased and had been neglected. with 60k miles on it I'm pretty sure that there were only basic oil changes done on it.\r \r For a great price Nate saved this truck. I have taken my car to Provo Car Doctors a few times and many of my friends and business associates have as well. They don't try to sell you stuff you don't need and they will tell you if there's a less expensive way to fix something or even if you don't need it fixed. They also have the knowledge to repair even the more difficult makes of cars. They have a warranty as well. I'd definitely say they rise to the top of the crop in Provo. more

Nate is a great guy and is so quick to fix my vehicle and he is honest and not expensive. I feel safe sending my friends, family and wife there. I am not worried that he is going to try and sell me something I do not need. Overall he is great and I would trust the Car Doctors with any of my vehicles. I bought a truck from The car doctors back in October of 2010. I drove it home and the transmission started making sounds like a bearing was going out. I called them to see what to do and they told me to take it to a shop and get it checked out. i did just as they asked and found out that 4th and 6th gear was no good. they told me they would find me new transmission and take care of everything. a new transmission was 3,800 dollars. I've been waiting two months for them to find a cheaper one. i got a phone call today saying they weren't going to do anything about it. I gave them 15,000 dollars for a truck i can't drive! Thats one hell of a deal right there. Thanks car doctors! more

Excellent auto shop. Nate has regularly maintained my truck for 4+ years now and has provided outstanding service for everything from oil & filter change to major work like rebuilding brakes, transmission. My truck has 248,000 miles on it and I regulary travel all over without a worry (after Provo Car Doctor has done a Trip Ready Inspection to make sure I won't have a problem).\r \r Provo Car Doctor is my First stop, no matter what type of auto service I need. If Nate can't take care of it, he arranges for the best professional to handle it and sets up the appt for me.\r \r Thank you Nate for your attentive service and your unyielding professionalism!! more

I would like to give this place an okay review, but I don't think it merits it. The main reason I gave this shop a below average review is due to the other review listed on this website. You might notice that the person leaving the review has a username of ""n8moore."" Coincidentally, one of the main mechanics (and I think the owner of the shop) is also named Nate Moore. Not surprisingly, he gave himself an excellent review. That alone really made me angry and this is the main reason why I am not giving this place a good review. Although his review says ""honest,"" I don't think it's very honest to pretend like you're a customer and give yourself an incredible review.\r \r A few months ago, I took my car to this shop. The first annoyance is that they don't take appointments, they just service whomever comes in first. If you're the type of person who needs your car back soon after dropping it off, don't count on that here.\r \r Secondly, the price quotes they give you do not always include labor. Don't be surprised if the cost is more that they had originally stated. However, the amount of labor they charge is not much compared to some other shops.\r \r I can't say whether or not they are entirely honest. They did what I asked them to do, but Nate seemingly found another minor problem that cost me a little bit extra. That minor problem may or may not have already been existing, but I don't know for sure.\r \r However, the people were friendly and things seemed to go okay. Although my experience at the shop was not at all a negative one, the fact that the owner reviewed his own shop left me with a very sour feeling and caused me to not trust them as fully as I would have otherwise.\r \r If you want to find a good shop, try to find one that is both AAA certified and a member of the business bureau. These types of shops tend to be extremely reliable and centered on the customer. more
