The right place for the right people 11/8/2009

I went there in the afternoon with the love of my life. The bar was perfect. The food was exactly what it should be for the burger joint on the corner. If you want gourmet food dont come here; BUT if you want to relax, have fresh food from hardworking american people - this is it. My Girlfriend is a burger aficionado. She has had burgers from Philly, PA to Dallas, TX and every joint that she can find in between. Her smile when we left the Penguin could have lit up the whole street. The atmosphere was up beat and fast paced but allowed for us to have good conversation. We value our time together to because we are both very busy( as are most people). We were able to enjoy each others company and the great place. I love Michelle and the Penguin will quickly be one of the places we love together. more

I understand that this Penguin place has been here for a while, so there is a feeling to it that it might be "the place" to hang out and stuff. Being here the last time made me realize why I haven't been in the Penguin for a while, the wait is long and the food is just okay... more

Flightless bird ROCKS!!! 4/15/2006

The Penguin is one of those places that every neighborhood should be lucky enough to have. Laid back, groovy, fun, and entertaining atmosphere never fails to please. Fantastic banana pudding, out of your mind drinks :), and killer service. Even if Plaza Midwood isn't your neck of the woods, the Penguin warrants a trip more
