The Park Steakhouse Rocks 1/27/2011

Okay so I had lame date, he just wasn't for me. But this restaurant just about got me to change my mind about him. The food was amazing! I had the Citrus Lobster Tacos and the Sea Bass. All I can say is that it was a sensual experience, whoever is in the kitchen has some serious talent. The service was perfect, the ambiance and lightening was in my best interest (if you know what I mean Ladies.) I felt comfortable while feeling like a princess at the same time. I would really recommend this place as a perfect date destination. more

Great food and great service 1/25/2011

We recently visited the Park Steakhouse in Park Ridge NJ and were very impressed with both the food and the service. We called early in the day and got a 7:00 pm reservation for two people. The gentlemen on the phone was very polite and looked forward to us dining at their restaurant that evening. ""Nice touch"". When we arrived at the restaurant we were sat at a lovely table behind the wine case. Our waitress introduced herself and politely asked us if we would care for a drink before dinner. The drink s arrived shortly after. The drinks were very impressive to say the least my Martini was about 10 ozs and was ice cold just like a good martini should be. My wife ordered a vodka and orange and when her drink arrived noticed that the orange juice was fresh made. The restaurant was full but felt like it was running very smoothly and all tables were looked after. More then enough staff for a busy evening. When our waitress returned she told us the specials for that evening. We both decided to have the specialty of the house the Foie Gras Crusted sea scallops and it did not disappoint us. I would highly recommend this to any one. My wife ordered a porterhouse steak and I ordered the braised Short Ribs of Beef. Her steak came out beautifully medium rare like she ordered it and it came with some crispy shoestring potatoes. My short ribs of beef were amazing they came on top of Horseradish whipped potatoes. Simply the best short ribs Ive had all year long. We weren't sure if we would order dessert but once the waitress arrived after the main course, she told us of a new dessert that was just added to the menu. So we had to try them, it was some ricotta and cinnamon zeppoles. ""To die for"" small little bite size zeppoles presented in a small paper bag along side small squeeze bottles filled with apple puree and a strawberry puree that you used to fill your own zeppole. Very cool. . All in all we were pleasantly surprised and would recommend this to all our friends more

Terrible Service, mediocre food 7/23/2010

In terms of service, this is one of the worst restaurants. The breadbasket came out long after we had been seated and placed our orders; our glasses sat empty waiting to be refilled while the waitress walked by numerous times; the wine list was left on our table, another waiter came by and took the cocktail menu for another table, and a server pushed the wine list over to place the appetizer down, we finally put it on the table next to us; when the plates were removed from the table the crumbs were not cleared (but they were for the table next to us by the same person); no one asked us if we wanted dessert; and we had to call out to the waitress for the check which was dropped onto the table. Terrible, terrible service. The food was mediocre. We won't be back. more

Fantastic Short Ribs 10/29/2008

I went to The Park Steakhouse Saturday night on a recommendation that it was a very nice place, and the steaks were almost as good as DelFrisco's...well not so much. We were late for our reservation and so we had a drink at the bar for about 15 minutes. This place is ""cozy"" there is a small bar with high def TV's which is nice if you want to check out a game, or just have a casual dinner bar side. They also have an extensive wine list..and good ? bottles available. The bartender was very friendly and professional. Pros: Service and Wine List Cons: Three Sauces added to the steak more
