I am not from Spokane and was there this last weekend for my daughters volleyball tournament. 5 minutes after I got there my car alarm went off. I went outside to check it and someone tried to break in my car shattering the drivers side window. I went into the staff and asked if they could call the police. They asked what happened and I told them that someone tried to break into my car. They giggled and told me some of the waitresses there had their cars broken into to. I paid for the drinks that I had ordered but never drank and left. The next day, other parents of my daughters volleyball team told me two other cars had been broken into after I left. more

Yea... Not so much 2/14/2011

While in Spokane this weekend (2/12/2011) my boyfriend and I had just left the symphony at The Fox, and were really hungry. OSF was just a couple blocks away so my boyfriend called to make sure they were still taking orders since it was 9:30pm. They said they were, so we headed over. Now, growing up in Southern California, I have been to many OSF before and have never had a problem, and so I didn't think that this one would be any different... I was wrong. I know it was late and they were probably not very happy that we were there at the end of their shift, but the staff that was their kept glaring at us from around corners, and kind of sighing as they walked by us. Whatever, I can deal with that... We were hungry, and they were making money. Our waiter was nice, but a little ill informed about their own menu. My boyfriend ordered a glass of wine, and the waiter brought something completely different. That was ok, but when he did it a second time, it was a little annoying. Finally he got it right, and took our order, 20 minutes after we had arrived. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and my bf ordered the Chicken Marsala. While we were waiting for our food, the rest of the wait staff was cleaning and goofing around, using inappropriate language and gestures, all within eye and ear shot from us. Very unprofessional. Finally when our food came we were excited, it looked and smelled great. Unfortunately looks can be deceiving. The chicken tasted like it has previously been frozen, defrosted and cooked. It wasn't fresh at all. Mine was barely warm and the sauce tasted like something I can get out of a jar. The spaghetti that came with it was the same way. Not very good. My bf said his tasted like it had Salisbury Steak sauce on it, instead of the mushroom sauce that is listed on the menu, and, like mine, it wasn't very warm. Neither of us wanted to wait more time for new dishes, so we grudgingly ate the meals. We did inform the waiter that it was not up to the standards we place on OSF, but he offered nothing in the way of compensation. When we got the bill and saw that it was almost $50, we were appalled that it was so much money for a very awful meal. each of our meals were $12 each, which I wouldn't pay the dollar that they are worth in the frozen food section for. My drink was $6, which is the norm, but come to find out my bf's glass of wine was $10... Really? That would have been nice to know, seeing as they didn't give us a wine menu. Luckily my bf is a wine-o haha, so he knows what he likes and doesn't so he knew what he wanted without looking, but it still would have been nice to know the price and if there was an alternative to it. All in all it was a bad experience and we will not be going back to this location again. Pros: Nice ambiance Cons: Everything else more

Food and Fun 6/22/2010

I moved from Spokane ten years ago, and when I returned last summer, going to The Old Spaghetti Factory was on my must do list. Food is good, setting is fun, and the decor is outstanding. All that, and reasonable prices. Cons: Don't have one where I live know more

Where has The Old Spaghetti Factory Gone? 8/26/2009

I have been a long time customer of OSF ( more than 27 years) and I am sorry to say that the Spokane restaurant has disappointed me repeatedly over the last few years. I have noticed a disappearance of the experienced friendly waitstaff who had seen our children grow up over the years be replaced by young kids who have no clue who we are and more importantly lack any knowledge of the products they sell or the history of the business and building. Management never seems to be available, bussers no longer greet us and pour water or even seem to clear dirty tables around us. Servers seem stressed and unhappy. I miss the OSF of years gone by, where are Mike and Cindi? Why were we told by our last server that the reason everything took so long and he had no help was that the ""best server"" walked out in the middle of his shift? What is happening, why is everyone so unhappy? Is this location going to survive much longer? Get the staff some help!! Pros: Food still Good Cons: Service and Atmosphere has diminished more

Couldn't get in 7/21/2008

On our way through Spokane last Friday we planned to stop at the Spaghetti Factory for lunch. Unfortunately, after paying for two hours of metered time a block away, we discovered the restaurant is only open for supper. It would have been impossible to see the hours while just driving by in Monroe St. noontime traffic. We wish the hours had been more prominently posted. We also wish the restaurant was open for lunch. Pros: Food is amazing Cons: No lunch service more
