surprisingly good. i thought it was just a place for kids but it's quite nice - great service and good food at a good price. more

Kids love this place 3/22/2012

Took my kids here and they absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is really cute and the service is really kid friendly. The place is a little dark but my kids loved how there was a trolley in the restaurant. Food was great and it came with free ice cream! Get the Spimoni... its delicious. more

Awesome Place 10/7/2011

The spaghetti factory looks so cool on the inside. I love the train car! They also have awesome tortellini in alfredo sauce! I love their bread too. I highly recommend this place! more

Inexpensive, Large Portions, Delicious 11/6/2009

I have been going to the Old Spaghetti Factory since I was little. It has always been a family favorite for birthdays, and celebrations. Meals come with delicious bread and garlic butter, salad and spumoni ice cream for desert. Try the mizithra, and the Italian sodas (you get to keep the glass). Pros: Large Portions, atmosphere, family friendly Cons: Long waits for seats, occasionaly more

Value for money! 11/17/2008

A family friendly place with reasonably good food. It can be very crowded on the weekends, but if you call... more

Very lousy 7/9/2008

Honestly, this is one of the worst places I've been to in Salt Lake City. I ordered the lasagna and my girlfriend ordered the spaghetti, they were both horrible. Pros: nice atmosphere Cons: food was awful. more

Best Value 12/1/2007

I always like to go here. You never have to wait too long and the value can't get any better. The pesto salad dressing is so good. The bread is good, but the cheesy bread is even better. Try the Mizirtha cheese with browned butter and you can't go wrong. They only thing I had here that was okay was the chicken marsala. Everything else was really good. I have gone enough times to have everything on the menu. And I always order the mizritha cheese. more

Good for kids and that's about it. 11/21/2007

Everything at this Italian ""restaurant"" is sub-par, right down to the marinara that comes from the can. Yuck. I actually wouldn't even take my kids there as I can throw together a marinara in about 10 minutes that is healthier and superior in all ways. Thumbs-down for sure! Cons: Disgusting food...need I say more? more

Great atmosphere, go as soon as they open to avoid long lines 11/19/2006

Fun atmosphere for the entire family - located in shopping mall so you can enjoy the entire evening. more

Great family value! 10/30/2006

The Old Spaghetti Factory is an excellent family value. They provide plenty of food and the atmosphere is suitable for both children and large gatherings. I particularly recommend the creamy pesto salad dressing and the spaghetti with browned butter and mizithra cheese. more

Best mizzithra pasta 10/18/2006

Good mizzithra spaghetti, but there are way too many crying kids at this place. I also like the bread. Pros: Mizzithra spaghetti Cons: Crying slobbering kids more

Our Family Favorite 7/21/2005

This is the place to go when you just want a meal of spaghetti at a reasonable price. With the meal you get bread, salad, entree, beverage (not sodas), and dessert for about $8. Even the kids meals include salad/applesauce, entree, beverage, and dessert for $4. Be prepared for a wait, especially on weekends or nights, and a lot of kids though. I've never had bad food - hot foods hot, cold foods cold or bad service - we go there so often they know us. Pros: Kid friendly, Reasonable price, Great Atmosphere Cons: Busy, long waits, Limited menu, Noisy more

Great for families!! 7/19/2005

No, the food in not high cusine, but it is acceptable for a chain. The ambience is nice and it's somewhat loud and boisterous so the kids fit right in. You can get bread, soup or salad, an entree and ice cream for under $10, That's hard to beat! more

Horrible in every way 7/12/2005

This is the worst restaurant I have been to in SLC. The food was horrible. Making Spaghetti-Os would have been 10 times better and about 1/20th the cost! The food was gross. The service was terrible. When we finally got to food, the sauce had like a dried layer on it from probably sitting in the back for so long without being served. The food was cold. Way way way too expensive for what you get, although you couldn't pay me to eat at this restaurant. Cons: Food, Service, Cost more

Delicious 8/22/2004

The Old Spaghetti Factory is a great place to eat! Night is the best time to go - as it adds a traditional Italian feel to the restaurant. The sourdough bread tops off the minestrone soup - and adds a zesty taste to the delicious spaghetti with rich meat sauce. Try out the Old Spaghetti Factory - you'll enjoy it! - It's well-worth the drive! Pros: Great Atmosphere, Sourdough Bread, Delicious Sauces more

Old Spaghetti DUD 2/7/2003

I can't beleive that the Old Spaghetti Factory was rated so high. It has to be the worst (and I mean worst) Italian Chain in Salt Lake. Their food is far from top quaility and the price isn't even that good. It is just a little cheaper than the Olive Garden and at least there you have better food. Their service lacks everything. If someone wants a good Italian place check out Roberts Restaurant and Deli off of Wright Brothers Drive in the International Center. They don't have food that is precooked and frozen to be thrown into the deep fryer when it is ordered. They make everything fresh daily. The pasta and Fettuchini are to order! This place is great. Cons: Bad service, Bad food, Bad Atmosphere more

Love It 1/29/2003

Nice Price - Great place to take kids or for a nice relaxing date. more

great for kids 1/21/2003

This place is great for kids and the food is hearty and acceptable for adults unlike the Mayan which may be the worst Mexican food in the world. Pros: consistent more

Perfect for the Family 1/20/2003

This is my kid's favorite place. The thing is that the food is very good, so we are happy to take them there. The way they package the meal is great and is a great value. Try the clam sauce, it is not like you think. Pros: Great food, Family friendly Cons: Limted hours, Waiting for a table more

Fun 12/15/2002

I have been there many times, and it is a very fun and good resturant. Pros: inexpensive, Good, Quick service more
