Replaced two sections of a residential sidewalk, repaired several feet of curb, repaired a concrete patch and applied joint sealer in order to clear a sidewalk violation prior to the sale of a home in the Bay Ridge area of Brooklyn, New York. We discovered the violation only about two weeks before the house was to close. Accordingly, there was significant time pressure to complete this work. Also, this came in January during a bitter cold spell.
I had previously obtained an estimate from another contractor and I thought it was excessive. I called Ettorie at Mazzie. He went to the home over the New Years holiday weekend and e-mailed me a written estimate. It was abut half of what the other contractor wanted. He had his crew (including his son David) at the house the following Tuesday. They did a great job. I would have given an Excellant in all categories; however, one small section of concrete wasn't quite as smoothed out as I would have expected. I did not mention it otherwise I'm sure they would have corrected it. That is why I gave them a Good rating on quality instead of an Excellant rating in that category. Nevertheless, I feel they did an Excellant job overall and I'd use them again.
