Without the Location...All theve got is reputation 12/20/2007

I will say this place has by far the best bloody mary I have ever had...But thats about it. The food is not worth the time, effort, or money. Should you eat here if you havent yet...Sure, But there is ""actual"" food, that doesnt come from a frozen bag down the street. You want really good, fresh food, try Devons, Edwidge, The Central House, Ross Grill and even Jimmy's Hideaway. \r \r -someone Pros: Location, History, Big Lobster tank for the Kids, BLOODY MARY'S!!!! Cons: Food, Food, Food more

fantastic service and even more spectacular food 7/17/2006

This is one of the best dinners my boyfriend and I have had. Everything from drinks to salads to apps to entrees was perfect. Our waitress provided just the right touch of service - inquiring gently but not pushy. The service throughout the restaurant was nicely orchestrated. I had the cajun boullabaise and he had the lobster clambake. The couple next to us has been eating there for the last 15 years--sometimes lunch and dinner! The food was so good that I bought the cookbook. The only downer was that I was too full for dessert! more

Doesn't Get Better Than This! 5/30/2006

My wife and I agree with all the positive reviews of this restaurant. The seafood is excellent, the service was good, and the view of the bay is as good as any we have seen. Plus the price wasn't bad either! We liked it so much, we ate lunch and dinner there on the day we visited. A must if you are in Provincetown! Pros: good food, good view, good service more

A BEST BET IN P-TOWN 4/24/2005

I always make it a point to visit the Lobster Pot when I'm in Provincetown. The food is of the highest quality and you can't beat the view! It's a great place for family and friends to meet for a great seafood experience. It can get a little loud, so your out of luck if a romantic dinner for two is what you're looking for. Pros: Quality of food, View Cons: Long wait for tables more

I'd rather eat elsewhere 7/4/2003

I went to the Lobster Pot on the strength of some restaurant review or another. I read somewhere that people make pilgrimages to the Lobster Pot for their chowder. Now I can't find the source to add my own 2 cents but I shall do so here. I'd rather eat elsewhere. The clam chowder and lobster bisque we started with were sad versions of what we've had in comparable places. The bisque was a bit weak (where's the lobster?) and the chowder recalled Morton's. I suppose I don't care for the iodine flavor. To their credit, the appetizer sampler had a nice variety of seafood (clams casino, calamari, shrimp). The cod fish and chips were a generous portion of flaky fried fish. Perhaps we didn't order the right entrees (didn't want to do lobster for lunch so thought that the bisque would hint at the quality of food). . . Pros: location Cons: tourist trap more

best seafood in p'town 4/9/2003

I love this place and eat at least three meals in the course of a week's vacation here. Great food (Love the fried scallops, the lobster bisque and the chowder). Pros: Great food, Inexpensive Cons: 260 miles away more
