Still Gold 4/14/2004

The recently-remodeled Gold Room has an expanded menu and still offers many great wines. We've never found the service lacking and the meals are consistently excellent. Pros: Romantic, Great Food , Great Wine List more

What Gold Room? 7/3/2003

This restaurant is part of the Westward Look Resort Hotel. We had lunch in the Gold Room. Entrees are in big portion. The construction of the food was good. But, the food is lock of the enhanced flavor for the food. Such as, it didn't compromise the light flavor of the rice w/ a thicker sauce. The pasta in good texture but too much of the reserved vegetables were used for the dish and ruin it. Pay the price and don't expect an excellent meal. Treasure Found! Westward Look Resort & Spa This local gem offers so much more than just resort rooms and deep pocket prices! You can't beat the prices for the exceptional amenities and service they provide. The Gold Room food and wine selections were fantasitc, it is clear why they have won so many awards of excellence, not to mention the gorgeous city view from where we were seated. Unbeatable! Hands down, the Westward Look is a place I will return time and time again! A Diamond in the Desert! Pros: Excellent Value, Fantastic Spa, Great Tennis Cons: Resort fills up fast, No new york times more

Althought it's been a while since I last stayed at this phenomenal resort, the experience then was incredible. First-rate accomodations (most with sepectacular desert views) and a friendly and informative staff matched only (possibly) by Disneyland cast members. I stayed here for a week and found everything well worth the somewhat remote location. Pros: Friendly staff, On-site hiking trails, On-site horse trails Cons: Not inexpensive, Somewhat isolated more
