Great performances 9/23/2009

I am actually in musical theater so i have a bit more of a critical eye than most; however, i was VERY impressed with their show "The Nutcracker" last year. I look forward to attending "A Sleepy Hollow Story" this October. If you are looking for a great night out, definitely check out their website for showtimes. Pros: Great professional shows more

An excellent, professional ballet studio 9/21/2009

My daughter has danced for 8 years. She is in her third year at the Georgia Ballet. We changed studios three years ago because my daughter wanted more rigorous, consistent ballet training. We have been very pleased with the directors, teachers and the facilities at the Georgia Ballet. My daughter feels she has finally found a ballet "home". She is treated as an individual and not just one in a crowd. She gets regular positive feedback and constructive criticism. Everything we have experienced at this studio has been done with excellence that is rarely seen today. Pros: consistent curriculum; individual feedback; great teachers more

Incredible Ballet School and Professional Company 9/8/2009

We have been at the Georgia Ballet for several years and have found the training to be excellent. The teachers set such a wonderful example and really work with the students to help them grow in the art of ballet. In addition to the training, we thoroughly enjoy the performances by the professional company. more

Great Ballet School! 9/3/2009

The Georgia Ballet is an excellent ballet school. I enjoy coming here and seeing all the cute ballerinas get ready for class. more

Best and safest training in NorthWest Atlanta 8/28/2009

My child has danced for the GA Ballet for 7 years. The reason is Gina Hyatt Mazon, formally Gigi Hyatt of Hamburg Ballet. She, her husband Janusz and the school Director Michelle Zieman DeVos all know what it takes to really teach dance, they were all professionals for big time ballet companies. They do not put girls younger than 11 in pointe shoes, because to earn this privilege means you have to be dancing enough hours to have muscles that can support you so your dancing does not do long term damage to you. They know what they are doing. They are not the flashy competition studio, so if that is what your kid wants look elsewhere, but if they want ballet for the love of it or for a potential career you will consider yourself privileged to have found them. Not to mention that they let the kids( 6 and up) audition for roles in the Nutcracker along side the adult professionals, every little girls dream. \r \r I have even tried thier open adult program, great exercise.\r \r I highly recommend more

Cutest little kids around 8/26/2009

My little niece goes here during the school year. She looks so cute in her little tutu. The staff has always been extremely friendly to me and my niece absolutely loves her teachers and dance mates. Pros: Great friendly staff more

too strict and rude staff 8/19/2009

My daughter took here for 2 or 3 years, then we were late to class one day (for the first time all year) and I get a call from the director (don't know her name) and she was rude, unprofessional, and in my opinion unrealistic about a child being even one minute late for an 8 year old ballet class. I did feel the teachers really knew their stuff, but lacked the personality to connect with the kids. This is just one mom's opinion, I guess they were just too strict and rude for my taste. Pros: very well trained staff Cons: teachers lack a love of teaching children, "cold" . more

Great dance performances 8/12/2009

Their Nutcracker performance every year is amazing. I know they put on several shows, i will certainly check out some of the other stuff they do. It's awsome to see performances of this caliber outside the perimeter. more

Beautiful performing company and great classes 7/23/2009

I first became associated with The Georgia Ballet after seeing one of the professional performances. The quality is equal to anything you will see in any large city, and is truly enjoyable. I've taken several adult classes and found that they work with anyone from beginner to someone looking to start dancing again. They offer everything...from ballet to tap, modern, and jazz. I'm a lifelong fan! more

We love The Georgia Ballet 10/24/2008

My 2.5 year old has taken several Movement for Mommy & Me classes, and she is doing great. The teacher is very patient and kind, and gives individual attention. more

Cobb County's Own Ballet Company 10/6/2005

I study ballet. I dance ballet. I LOVE ballet and I love ballet at Georgia Ballet. I've been lucky enough to see several productions here - The Adventures of Mary Poppins, Carnival of the Animals and, of course, The Nutcracker. Each ballerina's performance was given with grace and beauty and every show was spectacular! Georgia Ballet is very lucky to have Mrs. Hensley, who creates many of the productions for them. There is also a school associated with the Georgia Ballet, which Mrs. Hensley founded. more
