I work with older adults in the community, when they begin to consider assisted living, I always suggest The Gardens. more

Very happy with The Gardens 7/17/2013

The assisted living side is great but on the memory care side, my mom kept falling. In my opinion, you should not be in an apartment with the door closed if you have Alzheimer's. But I loved the staff in both aspects of The Gardens. In the case of my mom, she needed more one-on-one care after she hurt her back. The assisted living side had supportive staff, and we really liked them. They are caring, loving and kind but I never felt there were enough of them on staff. more

Great service, my dad's happy 7/1/2013

My dad has some fairly special needs and The Gardens at Barry Road Assisted Living has been great for that. They work so hard to accommodate him. We haven't experienced anyone negative here at Barry Road whereas at his previous assisted living place some of the employees were unpleasant as were some residents. My father has been there since October 2012 and he likes the residents and staff. His memory is not very good and they will go so far as to chop his food into pieces which he really needs! more

A wonderful place to live 5/15/2013

When my parents could no longer cook for themselves or take good care of their home, we drove around looking for a place they could live and still enjoy the lifestyle to which they were accustomed. When we toured The Gardens at Barry Road, my parents knew they'd found their new home. People really cared about them and wanted them to be happy. They provided them with wonderful meals in a beautiful dining room, including linen tablecloths and napkins and real table service. The facility is immaculate, the grounds manicured and well cared for, with habitat for all kinds of birds as well as places to sit and enjoy watching them. My father's health declined to the point we had to put him in a nursing home but my mother continued there until she died. Now they have a new magnificent Alzheimer's/Memory unit where if one member of a couple needs to be there, the other can simply take a walk to visit them. I love that idea. Thank you to the staff at The Gardens for taking such good care of my parents while they lived there. I love you all for that. more

No regrets, I recommend them very strongly, great facility 5/10/2013

The Gardens at Barry Road Assisted Living is an excellent facility. Both of my parents are there. My dad has Alzheimer's and is in the Alzheimer's care unit. My mom is in an apartment. It is an excellent, excellent facility! From the food to the care to the administration, it's a fabulous place. There is nothing to question, they just do a great job. more

Incredible people at The Gardens 4/10/2013

The Gardens at Barry Road Assisted Living is great because of the people. They are just as nice as can be, always willing to help, and very personable. My mom moved there in September 2010 and is happy there. I am even pleased with the food! more

My father is there, he moved in a little over a year ago. He is really comfortable there. He's at ease with the staff, he loves the food, and he likes the surroundings. more

It's a great place and I would recommend it 9/10/2012

My dad has been living at The Gardens for a few years now. The staff has been very helpful. They assist him with bathing, dressing, and just anything he might need help with. They also administer his medication. He has fallen a couple of times and he has had to go to the hospital. After he gets out of the hospital, they have been there to help him get better and have helped with his physical therapy. The administration is pretty amazing. They have helped with settling in, every step of the way. That is probably the thing I like best about them. I also really like the dining style. My dad can order from his table. I know he likes that, too. more

Excellent facility, excellent people. 8/15/2012

Two things. First, the facility is very nice. It is extremely usable and very, very, very clean. It is just a very nice facility. More importantly, the staff is great. They are very helpful, very nice, and very caring about my father-in-law. They are friendly, and they just give great care. All the people there are just high-quality people. I appreciate them. Outstanding customer service 7/5/2012

My husband's looked around before deciding on a home for his mother and he went with The Gardens at Barry Road because he was more pleased with the facility and the people he spoke with, as opposed to the other places he looked at. The people there are very accommodating whenever we have any requests of them. We couldn't be more pleased with everybody that we've dealt with. more

Right place for assisted living! 6/7/2012

Bill and Lindsey at The Gardens at Barry Road Assisted Living do a great job. They're very accommodating and addressing concerns. The only problem is that this is not an independent living facility, and my dad is bored there. We have him in assisted living for a reason though. It is the type of the facility. We were recommended to The Gardens and we knew the son of one of the residents. We've recommended others. This is the right place for assisted living and we enjoy that piece of it! The best place for my dad 5/7/2012

I think that the entire staff, Bill on down, are exceptional, very compassionate, very attentive, and wonderful to my dad. It is very very clean, a wonderful environment that I have recommended to several friends for their parents. I don't think their could be a better place. more

A great place where my dad truly feels cared for! 4/5/2012

Bill, the Administrator, Lynn, Bill's Assistant, and the entire nursing staff at The Gardens at Barry Road Assisted Living are so great. My dad really seems to be very happy there. I would have no hesitation recommending this place to anyone even though it is the only assisted living facility we looked at, or have ever had a family member in. I think it's been a very good place and they've been great to us. My dad truly feels very cared for there by the entire staff. more

Good place to live. 3/6/2012

If you can't be home, the Gardens is a good place to be. They serve good meals three times a day and take care of your laundry. Overall, it's a good place to live. more

Just tops 2/3/2012

I'm very pleased with The Gardens. I have been there for about two and a half years. Every Winter, I used to go to AZ. This year I stayed here. The staff is a wonderful group. They're very cooperative and helpful. If you don't feel good, they can bring you food. I used to handle retirees with AT&T in three different states. I saw a lot of places and reported on them. This place is tops. Just tops. As fine a place as you will find in the country. Superb personnel. Just tops. more

I'm perfectly happy. 1/22/2012

I'm perfectly happy with The Gardens. I live alone, and I'm happy that I have very good service. I don't drive anymore, but my children live in town so they come and get me occasionally. I would like to have more bus service than we have, but I take advantage of every outing that the institution provides. more

It's been very good! 1/12/2012

So far, I've had a great experience at The Gardens at Barry Road Assisted Living. After I first moved in, it took a few days for me to get used to being here and learning where everything was, but everyone was very helpful and patient with me. I really don't have anything negative to say about my experience here. I am perfectly satisfied with everything. more

I've been here at The Gardens at Barry Road Assisted Living since April. So far it's great. I've been treated great. If I need a ride, they pick me up, although I have other means of transportation too. The food is always on time. They've got all kinds of activities so I don't need to be worried about that. more

The Gardens at Barry Road Assisted Living does a good job. I feel very comfortable here. Our room is very nice and the food is very good. We find the people very sociable. The workers at The Gardens at Barry Road Assisted Living do a very good job at the dining room and everywhere else. I have no complaints. more
