Good place, High Prices 1/30/2010

Nice place, prices are too high. For a family of five to bowl it would cost around 40 dollars not counting food and drinks more

Gable House The is fun 10/13/2009

This is cool spot to bowl, have a beer and hang out with friends for a fun night out! Nice location and the staff is very friendly. As usual, prices are up there! more

Gable House The is good place to go 9/18/2009

Great place to bowl, have a beer. Their is a newer place in town, but the gable house provides the old school service that we have come to want in Torrance. Only problem, prices have gone up so if taking the family be prepared to drop 60 for a couple of games (not including the beer!). more

I love this place dude! I feel so juicy when I walk in on a friday night! 5/8/2009

On Friday & Saturday night, they have all the black lights on the lanes, & they have a full arcade, & also have a bar in the back (adults only, it's really discreet) So don't worry, the kids can't even tell it's there. The kids & the girls like this machine they have right in front where you Pay & rent shoes. It's a Red/Yellow machine that sells toys that attach to your cell phone. Dude, they even had this thing "Bling Teeth" It's like a fake Grill you put in your mouth & it looks like you have golden teeth like the Rap stars- only cost me $1 bro. And try the Mexican Pizza dude! It's only $5 & you can customize it, you fill out a little piece of paper, just check off all the things you want in it. Totally worth it, you know how you expect to spend a fortune when you go to a place like this & buy food there. Well not this place- also they have Laser tag right next door & on Friday nights its only $11 for an "all night pass" Its from like 7PM-11PM or something, don't quote me on this- c more

Gable House Bowl is Wonderful Host! 1/20/2009

The staff is very nice. The space is generous. And that's not even mentioning the bowling downstairs! You can bowl, play laser tag or sing karaoke. It's a hoot! more

Security guards called an Arab a monkey terrorist - unbelievable? 5/12/2008

When we arrived, I wondered why eggs had been thrown at the front of the building. Half an hour later I had my answer. We had stopped by to send a friend off who is moving away; Gable House is central so we thought it a good choice. Bad decision. When we arrived, loud security guards were standing in the walk way in front of the business. My kids an I had to climb up over the barricade/step to even get in as they were too busy talking loud among themselves to even move out of our way so we could get in. First sign. Next, the music was so loud talking wasn’t an option. In the bar, two friends and I waited fifteen minutes while the two bartenders finished talking to their friends before they rudely helped us. They made it obvious we had inconvenienced them. As soon as we walked back into the bowling alley, large, rude overzealous security guards began to yell at us to leave. Apparently there is a cover charge that no one at the door mentioned to us. Fair enough, but they wouldn’t eve more

Good, Clean Fun 2/27/2008

Gable house is the best family friendly bowling alley in the Southbay. It is very clean, and large with 2 full sides of lanes. They do have a bar, but it's in the back, and the kids won't wonder in. They also have an arcade. The prices are really good, and the shoes are relatively new. more

Bowling on the Weekends 1/25/2008

During my high school days, this was one of the more fun places to hang out. They had nights called "midnight bowl" where you would buy the lane for the entire night (and at a more than reasonable price). With an emphasis on strobe lights, disco, and vague shout-outs to art deco, the place has a look that far surpasses any grimy bowling alley that I've been to. It's also kept in good shape, the shoes don't look like they've been around since the 70s, and it's a nice place to relax on a Friday night. more

Fun Times 11/20/2007

It's a great place to go out on a casual date, or hang out with your buds! The atmosphere is nice, bowling is pretty inexpensive. It's a great place to have a kid's birthday party at. The have packaged deals for different party plans. more

Great place to bowl 11/23/2005

I drive here all the way from Santa Monica. It isn't overcrowded (though I avoid weekends) and from 10PM on (Mon-Thur), bring your own shoes and it's just 12 dollars to bowl unlimited until 2AM! Perfect for a night owl who usually bowls a lot of games when he goes. Friendly staff, clean, new looking lanes, it's the place to bowl. more

Family bowling spot in Torrance 11/16/2005

Gable House has been around for years. It is still very popular with teenagers and party groups. The prices are cheap and they have many bowling aisles to play from so waiting is not that long. They have their tournaments and are located in a little strip mall next to Radio Shack. Parking is ample. more

Gable House Fun 11/11/2005

Gable House Bowl is a fun place to go for bowling. Their fees are relatively inexpensive. They do have a special glow in the dark bowling where they have a live DJ playing 70s music on Fridays and Saturdays after midnight where you get a club-like atmosphere. They also have laser tag available with 2 arenas to play in. more

Great deal, if you can wake up that early 11/9/2005

I was surprised at how much the prices went up for bowling. Most places around here want about ~$4.50 per game, per person, not including shoes, and they do not offer an hourly rate. Well, Gable House has a special every Sunday morning. I believe it begins somewhere around 7am-11:00am and it's somewhere in the neighborhood of $1.25 or $1.50 per game per person. I ended up buying my own pair of shoes because I was sick of renting used shoes all the time, so in my opinion, this is a great deal!! PROS: cheap at certain times CONS: expensive at all other times more

Bowling 11/3/2005

Gable House in Torrance is a cool place to play some bowl. Their equipment is more modern and up to date unlike some older bowling allys. They also have a rock-n-bowl thing on weekend nights that starts at around 11pm or midnight and is kind of club atmosphere with loud music and night lights. more

Bowling Fun 9/20/2005

Gable House Bowl is a pretty fun place to go for the entire family. They have a large parking lot available for their patrons. They have bowling tournaments for bowling enthusiasts as well as offer bowling lessons at a fee. They also host birthday parties for kids and adults alike. Their prices are average, in fact, if you go early Sunday mornings between 7am to 11 am, they only charge $1.75 per half hour. more

Gable House Bowl 9/13/2005

This was my favorite place to hang out when I was single and now it is one of my family's favorite place to go for family fun. They have a good number of lanes there however it can get kind of busy especially on weekends so sometimes you have to wait for a lane to open up. But they also have other things you can do while waiting for a lane to open up like their arcade games and their miniature golf. more
