I was so blessed to have Tracy French of The French Connection plan my wedding. I knew I was in the right hands the moment I met her. The planning process was around 14 months long and Tracy went above and beyond my expectations for our big day. I must have sent Tracy hundreds and hundreds of inspiration photos. She dissected them with absolute perfection. She literally took all my ideas out of my head and made them a reality. I wanted an out-of-the-box type wedding and Tracy totally understood my every want and need. I sent her a picture of people holding parasols, and from there, she came up with the idea to have them hanging from the trees during our reception. It was absolutely breathtaking. She knew exactly what florist and photographers I needed to work with in order to achieve my vision. The vendors she introduced me to ended up being the most beautiful, talented, and creative souls I have ever met. Literally, every detail about our wedding was perfect and achieved flawlessly thanks to Tracy. I tear up every time I look at the photos or watch the video. I am not just saying this because it was my own wedding, but Tracy helped me have one of the most beautiful, romantic, weddings I have ever seen. My ideas and dreams would never have been able to come to life if it hadn’t been for her. I just want to say that I don't know what I would have done without Tracy and her team. She made my day so special and I didn’t have to lift a finger. From start to finish, she was there for me in more ways than one. I live in Arizona and I wanted to get married in San Antonio, so I knew I would need help in planning a destination wedding. Well, Tracy handled my event for me with delicate hands. She and Katie were my soul support. She set up all of my appointments for me and kept me on a budget. Just be ready for her to be brutally honest with you because Tracy is very honest. She will tell you the truth whether you want to hear it or not. That's what I loved about her. She was always there to answer any questions that I had. Day or night, I was able to contact her. Even on the day before my wedding when I thought I was about to have a nervous breakdown because my mom was stressing me, Tracy was there to listen to me. She sat on the telephone with me while I cried to her and she listened to every word. I gave Tracy full reign when it came to planning my wedding. She gave me her opinion, and I went with that because I had complete trust in her. And when my husband and I walked into the room, we were so overwhelmed. It was absolutely beautiful. We had no words. She did an awesome job. She fixed my dress as I was going down the aisle and she took care of everything for us; the limos, the caterer, the vendors. We just had to show up and Tracy handled the rest. Till this day, we are still hearing beautiful words from our family and friends of how much fun everyone had at our wedding. They are still complementing us and telling us that they have never been to a wedding so beautiful. If you want a stress-free day and want to really enjoy your wedding, I would say choose The French Connection. It is up to you to have a type of relationship with Tracy that will make it easier to plan your day. I feel Tracy and I had a mutual understand and a friendship when it came to planning my wedding. I can’t say enough about the important role The French Connection played in my daughter’s wedding. We are from Houston and she and her fiancé very much wanted to get married at the St. Anthony Hotel in San Antonio. After a trip to San Antonio and a visit to the St. Anthony, I realized I definitely needed a wedding planner. I did not know anything about florists, musicians or photographers in San Antonio. After several calls, we settled on The French Connection. I had a wonderful experience with them. I worked with Katie during the 11 months of planning and she was always very helpful, responsive, and extremely well organized. Above all, she was innovative and creative in her suggestions. We used the services they recommended and were extremely pleased with everything from the classical guitarists who played during the ceremony, the flowers, the photographers, the cake, the DJ and on and on. During the planning, Katie seemed to learn early on what my taste was and she always had things (like tablecloths, chairs, invitations, favors, etc.) that I loved. She had multiple choices on all things and they were in a wide range of prices. I never felt any pressure to choose something other than what we wanted. The wedding was truly beautiful and to my amazement, I actually enjoyed the evening. This was mainly because I knew that Katie was there the whole time looking after every detail. One of the things I remember most was when I asked her several weeks before the wedding what I (as the mother of the bride) would need to take care of on the day of the wedding. Her response was “Nothing” and she was exactly right. I just showed up and had a great stress-free evening. I highly recommend The French Connection and Katie.\r \r more

The French Connection played an essential role in helping us visualize and plan the wedding we wanted. The staff welcomed our creative ideas and assisted in actualizing these concepts - such as invitations, certain aspects of the ceremony, the flow of the entire event, save-the-date cards, etc. At one point in our wedding we stepped aside to look at the ceremony site, and our planner asked us what was wrong. We told her that we just wanted to take in how beautiful everything was! Indeed, many friends commented in detail that ours was the most beautiful and fun wedding they had ever been too. The event was seamless, and that was noticed by our guests. Throughout the planning process, there were some times that communication could have gone more smoothly, but for the most part it was easy to work with them. Their services are pricey, but we saw that as insurance for the event we dreamed of. more

I literally could not have planned my wedding without the French Connection. Everything turned out so perfect and it was exactly how I dreamed it would be! We had our ceremony at St. Paul?s Square and reception at the Buckhorn Saloon and the French Connection made the locations look just as I imagined. I had tons of people comment on how pretty everything looked. It was truly amazing! We absolutely loved the flowers and decor. They are great at what they do. Katie at the French Connection made my wedding planning so easy! Everyone commented on how beautiful it was! It turned out exactly how I imagined! This is a great service to use if you live in another city or you don't want to sift through bands and florists on your own! They guarantee the people they recommend because they have used them all before and know you won't be disappointed! I ordered my invitations and booked my DJ through the French Connection. My invitations were amazing! I went to multiple shops who did custom designs and none of them had the look I wanted. It was important for me to keep my fun colors and modern theme but still make it very classy and they definitely delivered. A total bonus is they were already glued together so all I had to do was stuff the pockets and put them in the envelope! Their DJ is amazing, after one meeting with us he completely got our style and what we wanted. He helped me keep with my timeline flawlessly. Tracy and the French Connection team helped my husband and I plan the wedding of our dreams. Our monthly meetings kept us organized and on target while planning our big day. They were a pleasure to work with and were always very professional. Tracy has a great pulse on what's in style and is always on trend. They made it so easy to plan our wedding and took all the guessing out of it! Tracy only works with tried and true vendors and suppliers. The day of the wedding went without a hitch. My husband and I had a blast and didn't have to worry about a thing all day because the French Connection team was on-site and coordinating everything from decoration setup, catering, flowers, deliveries and even breakdown afterwords. We are still getting calls and emails from our friends and family saying how beautiful our wedding was. Photography is a huge part of my life. I enjoy having every important moment captured and the joy of looking back at all these memories. So of course, when I got engaged, photography was a major aspect I wanted handled perfectly. Photos aren't something you can recreate after the fact. The French Connection staff worked with me to make sure every detail was covered. The staff even met me in New Braunfels (where I live) to go over all the details so I would not have to drive into San Antonio! I searched high and low for a great photographer and the value and price were unbeatable. I just picked up the photos and they look amazing! I had always heard great things about Tracy French and the French Connection, so when I got engaged I was too excited to work with her. I remember that I emailed her on a Sunday morning on my way into church, and by the time I got out of church she had already responded saying she would love to work with me. When we first met I was delighted by her pleasant personality, she and her staff maintained a warm and professional tone throughout my entire process. With the particular job I have, I was having to travel to San Antonio to meet with Tracy when I could, and the times I couldn't we met on conference call. I was always nervous that since I was so busy with my work life, that my wedding wasn't going to come together, but Tracy always reassured me that we were right on time. As the wedding got closer I really watched as Tracy and her staff went to work, making sure that everything was done, always reminding me not to stress, and that they would take care of it. Tracy was very honest with me on her thoughts about certain things, From my flowers to my invitations, to our photography, everything was absolutely wonderful. My husband and I received and are still receiving compliments on the beauty and organization of our wedding. Seeing the Church decor, and reception decor on our wedding day actually took my breath away. None of it would have been possible without her. I used the French Connection for my wedding and I could not be happier with the results!! All my guests could not stop gushing about the wedding and I owe it all to Tracy French and her team! I used the consulting services which helped me execute the perfect wedding of my dreams. The French Connection made the day stress free and not one thing went wrong. I used their florist who was amazing and did a wonderful job using the colors in a creative and unique way. My bouquet was amazing! I also used the photography services which I am very happy with. The photos are beautiful and all the important moments were captured. I used the DJ services and the DJ is great. He is not a flashy lights kind of DJ, which I loved. He did a great job at helping the wedding move along by making the important announcements such as our grand entrance, cake time, bouquet/garter toss. I also used the Guitarist for my ceremony and cocktail hour. The guitarist is so elegant and classy. All the guests loved the music and the mood he set. \r I had such a great planning experience and it wouldn’t have been this perfect without the French Connection. Completely unsatisfied with this wedding coordinator. From the beginning, she stated at our initial meeting that she only does one wedding a weekend – unfortunately, she booked another wedding on the Saturday of my wedding. Be aware, that as a result, you may not get her full time attention. You might get her assistant. She did not tell me that she was not going to be at my wedding until I finally asked her face to face in a meeting five months prior to my wedding, when I started getting suspicious. Her excuse was that a bride had booked her for another day, and then something came up with that wedding date so that bride had to switch to my wedding day, and that she was going to run her wedding instead, even though I had booked and secured her services 10 months prior for that date. I asked her how long she had known that this bride had switched her date and she never would answer me. It was said that it was best for her business to take the other wedding and to have her assistant run my wedding. There were various mistakes made concerning my wedding leading up to the day. Several times they sent out vendor quotes that were inaccurate. For instance, her company sent me a vendor quote for 220 chairs, but only 200 cushions to go on the chairs. These things should have been checked and caught before being sent out to the vendors and me. The week prior to my wedding, my vendors had still not received a timeline from her and were contacting ME on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to see what was going on and letting me know they had not received anything from her. It was not until Wednesday afternoon that the e mail was sent out to the vendors of my timeline. She also called my mother, my fiancé, and me on the day of the wedding asking us questions pertaining to our wedding! All of these questions should have been solved before my wedding day. After the wedding was over, I contacted her about several things that didn’t run smoothly at the reception, and she proceeded to blame me, my parents, and EVEN named specific guests of mine. At the reception, she was busily talking on her cell phone or texting (many of my guests pointed this out!) Many of the mishaps at my wedding could have been solved without any guests noticing if she had been paying 100% attention as we expected her to. I would highly recommend going with any other wedding planner in San Antonio if you are planning a wedding. She wants total control and then drops the ball.\r Pros: nothing! Being a busy medical student living in Kansas and trying to plan a Nebraska wedding, I needed the help of an amazing team to ensure my wedding day went off without a hitch. Tracy and her team went above and beyond to give my husband and I the wedding we've always dreamed of. \r \r It's been more than a year now since our wedding day and we still hear from our friends and relaives-near and far- how lovely our wedding was and how much our guests enjoyed themselves. What a great compliment to receive!\r \r Not only were Tracy's services worth every penny to me as a bride, but also to our parents and our wedding party. Everyone was able to sit back, relax and enjoy the entire wedding weekend. \r \r As a bride, no matter how prepared you think you are something always comes up. Regardless of how big or small the problem may be, Tracy and her team handle all situations with professionalism. For example, someone whom was not a guest was trying to deface our wedding signature photo mat at the reception. My husband brought it to Tracy's attention and the matter was taken care of right away. I would have never even known about it had my husband not told me days later. I was thankful the matter was not brought to my attention during the reception, I was much too busy having a good time.\r \r Tracy and her team are marvelous at working with vendors of all kinds, even vendors they may not be familiar with. In our case, all of our vendors were from my home town in Nebraska- none of which Tracy had worked with before. None the less, everything went smoothly and she coordinated services with them like she had been working with them for years. Tracy and her team have excellent communication skills and can get a bride what she wants- no matter how big or small the task.\r \r Overall, Tracy and her team gave us a wedding day to cherish forever. Choosing her wedding coordination services was the best decision I made as a bride, other than choosing to marry my husband of course. PROS: The team was great keeping me on schedule leading up to the wedding, and, on the day of the wedding itself, they were fabulous keeping everyone moving and organized. They have great cake service (the cake was fabulous), and I heard from another bride that her make-up artist is really good, but I did not use this service. \r CONS: Not keeping me in budget. What's not so great are Tracy's continued attempts to sell and charge for her captive vendor services during the planning process. It got really high-pressure with her asking me to use her framing services, borrow her jewelry, set up for the reception favors stations, use her calligraphy services, rentals etc. I learned the hard way that she does not have your best financial interest in mind; she's about making you spend the most $$ possible. So, even if you're pressed for time, don't just use her vendors - shop around because she won't do that for you. I paid 2x what I would have by using her rental, invitation service and photographer. Also, she is not very good at getting creative - the planning ideas will have to come from you, but she is practical and has connections to find the vendors that you need. Just be prepared to pay for it!\r WARNING: On the Photographer, like the other reviewer here, the photographer's final work was NOTHING like the examples of photos and albums that I'd been shown before signing the contract and paying the deposit. Also, I ordered the leather albums, and when I picked them up, I was told that I had to glue each and every picture into the pages of the albums. After paying 1000's of $$ for their service, they can't even do that??? It was really unprofessional, and they don't take responsibility for their own vendor. CLARIFICATION: I ordered the main wedding and 2 parents' albums. The parents' albums came with pre-pasted pages and a stack of photos separated by torn sheets of paper (NOT the nice, pre-cut tissue paper); I was told when I picked up the parents' albums that I need to paste the photos into the parents' albums. Needless to say, I could only ""paste"" them in there crooked - it looks awful and home-made. FYI, be warned that their photography contract says the wedding planner is not responsible for the photographer's work. What more can I say? Tracy and her team were very helpful. I don't know how people can plan their own wedding without pulling their hair out! They were very patient with us cause Donald and I kept changing the venue. In the end we chose Texas Old Town, which I loved. They made things happen and it turned out great! The vendors they use were great and we were happy with everything they provided us with. All and all they did a great job and our wedding was wonderful!! I would highly recommend Tracy and her team!! more

Living in Washington, DC and planning our wedding in San Antonio we knew we needed a hands on team and found that at the French Connection with Tracy and her team. Tracy and her team took the time to talk to us about our vision for our wedding and then took off making it happen. We used her services for flowers, music and make-up and was SO impressed by their professionalism and desire to make our day wonderful. The DJ understood that we had a mix of generations and wanted music to cover all generations but to remain an elegant event for all. Without fail he did that. The florist carefully asked me about my likes and dislikes, what I envisioned and then worked with me every step of the way. In the end, his work was impressive and still talked about today by people who attended asking me WHO did my flowers. And finally, her make-up artist was very talented and patient as she worked with me to get every hair perfect. I eagerly met with the French Connection after a failed attempt at ""planning my own wedding"". This professional team of experts really listens to your hopes and dreams for your day, brings fresh ideas to the table and offers only the very best vendors that are trustworthy, honest, and creative. Tracy French who was our planner for the day, helped guide me in the right direction to make my dream into a real wedding. She was always willing to hear me out and was attentive to my needs, always keeping in mind what I ultimately wanted. We decided to use her recommendation for photography which ended up to be beautiful, a candid description of our special day. The photographers were professional, and I never even noticed they were there, but in the end after seeing my proofs, (which came very quickly) our wedding story was revealed in pictures. I know exactly why The French Connection is the best-- they handle everything and make sure well in advance of the day, that all your needs are meet and all your wants for the day are documented. When the day came, I did not think of one thing besides marrying my love then celebrating with friends and family. All was handled by The French Connection team who was constantly present but never overbearing, I was never asked a thing because all was so well coordinated and was only escorted to places for key events such as entrances, toasts, and cake cutting, with an occasional ""Is everything going well"" --which my answer was always-- ""Its all so amazing"". I used the French Connection for several services, some which were great and others not so much. The company and the photographer were my biggest problems. The company will not let you know until you book them who you will be set up with for any of their services. Even after you pay up, they refused to give me any of the vendor's information. I never meet with any of them except the photographer until the day of the wedding. You have to take their word for it as far as quality goes. I had to ask them repeatedly just to get a meeting with the photographer so I could see her specific work. I had already made the deposit, so when we finally met and I saw her work I wasn't very impressed. The pictures were very disappointing and the company did nothing about it. So be sure what you are getting yourself into before you go to these companies who won't let you see what you are getting before hand. I called asking questions to get started in planning a 50 anniversary. She only wanted me to check out her website and refused to provide me with any other information like what were their general fees or a range. So I got the brush off. What a pack of snobs.
