Besides counseling level three sex offenders this agency does not screen their employees throughly nor do a criminal background check on them.
A few years ago one of their employees was harboring an alcoholic woman in a small apartment near her own home. The employee was constantly purchasing beer for the woman to keep her intoxicated. In the meantime this home health aid gained access to this fairly wealthy womans checking account and charge cards and ran up thousands of dollars in purchases not only for herself but her family members one of which had been incarcerated for a while.
When the family found out that the home health aid and her family were stealing this woman blind they took all the receipts, files and other information to this agency who did nothing to this woman. They also took the information to their attorney who is not the head of the bar association and this lawyer sent out a few letters to try to collect the monies that the Family and Children's Society Employee stole from this woman who forged checks and ran up charges all over the city.
The family even contacted the District Attorney but they did nothing.
The Family took control of the mother and put her in a place where she got proper care.
The Family and Children's Employee got off scot free and she is still taking care of the elderly today.
Make sure if you want assisted living for your loved ones that you investigate all aspects of businesses that provide these services or you and your loved ones will end up being scammed by employees, agencys, lawyers and district attorneys like this family did.
If you do deal with this agency make sure you monitor all the activity surrounding your loved ones case and the people who have access to your loved one.
