I live in Dripping Springs and still find a chance to go see the ladies at The Cotton Cupboard in Lakeway. Polly is the draw for me - she is their longarm quilter ready to be rented by YOU so your quilts can be completed. Polly is\r easy to use - the ladies give you plenty of instruction - and all the help along the way - I have used Polly three times and I'm happy to have completed those quilts myself. Their fabric selection is marvelous - plenty of notions - but best of all is their friendly staff - go see them! Pros: Terrific shop - above average staff Cons: Its a fabric shop - there are no ""con's""! more

Finally a great shop out by the lake!! 10/14/2009

Being an avid artist primarily focused on fabric art and art quilts, I am so delighted to have such a great quality store out here in Lakeway! Not only is it just around the corner for me, but the selections are some of the best in town. I love the staff - they are so friendly, knowledgeable and lots of fun. Pros: great selections, wonderful prices, super classes more

Great new Quilt Store 10/11/2009

Just moved to Austin, and found a great new quilt shop in Lakeway. The owner, Jessica, and her staff are super friendly and welcoming. They have a beautiful shop with a big classroom. Best of all, even though I do not have my sewing machine with me yet, they have invited me to come sew on one of their machines! You can also learn to sew on ""Polly"" a long-arm quilting machine that Jessica will train you on. I wish my kids were still young because they offer Parent and Me classes, and many more for kids. Check them out. I definitely recommend The Cotton Cupboard to all quilters and new quilters, and plan on being a regular customer! Hope to see you there! Pros: Super Friendly and Welcoming Staff more

Long overdue sew shop in Lakeway! 9/28/2009

I am so excited that Jessica opened the Cotton Cupboard in Lakeway! Finally one stop shopping for all your sewing needs right in our backyard! I signed my daughter up for their kid friendly sewing lessons and she can't be more happy! They have an awesome array of fabrics and everything you need to sew just about anything you so desire!
