The Childrens Corner has exceeded every one of our expectations. Our oldest child has been a student here for almost one and one-half years and every day I am reaffirmed of the value they provide. From numbers, to letters, to writing, the Childrens Corner presents everything our four year old needs prior to starting Kindergarten. We are thoroughly delighted with this investment in our child's education and would highly recommend the Childrens Corner to any parent interested in making sure their child starts out ahead in their pursuit of life-long education. more

  • For over 35 years, The Children's Corner has been a reliable choice for parents in the Kankakee-Momence, IL, area to provide preschoolers with a caring and creative early education experience. Our intentions are to strengthen each child's developmental skills to the best of his or her potential. Socially, we recognize the value of teaching children to live cooperatively with others, gain a sense of responsibility and develop a feeling of self-worth. Our programs include preschool, extended care and field trips.

    Our two to three week whole language units center on various interest themes, including:


    • Countries of the world

    • Health and safety

    • Five senses

    • Math and science

    • Solar system

    • Across the USA

    Since 1976, our staff and program have given each student the love of learning and the sound foundation necessary for future school success. We support family involvement outside of school hours, so we send home a daily newsletter to keep parents informed and engaged in their child's learning.
