The Cheesecake Factory

I came here with a few friends the other night and had a good experience. It wasn't terribly busy so we got seated right away. It had been a while since I had been to a Cheesecake Factory and this was only my second visit to one and so I was impressed by their large menu selection. I got the Hibachi steak and some Newcastle beers. For dessert I had a vanilla bean cheesecake, which was ok. Our waitress was friendly and looked after us. Overall, I'd say I'll definitely be coming back soon. more

Yesterday I was on a field trip and we stopped at OakBrook Mall. Right away I noticed a Cheesecake Factory and knew that was where I would be dining for lunch! I always love to get the Chicken Pesto Pasta, but they also have amazing salads and sandwiches to choose from. The menu is very extensive and they offer many of their dishes in lunch portions for a lighter meal. Of course, you can't leave without getting the cheesecake! The last time I went, I tried the Vanilla Bean - simply divine! I thought it might be a little bland, but it was not at all. My waiter, who was extremely nice, helpful and friendly, recommended it to me. Definitely a stop if you are in the area!!! more

You'll probably wait a while to get in, which will clue you in to the fact that this place does food quite well. The appetizers are varied and generous, but the entrées are downright huge. The prices don't seem like much of meal until you realize that you'll be getting two, perhaps three meals out of your one order. They've got a bit of something for everyone, from vegetarian to seafood, from steak to burgers. more

If you've never been to The Cheesecake Factory, you're deprived. Though it's a national chain, CF is a cut above the rest. Prices are high, waits are long, but it's all worth it. Here, watch out for holidays and weekends in general, you could easily find yourself with over an hour wait. Once you're in though, the wait staff is excellent, and service is fantastic. Try the raspberry lemonade and the avocado spring rolls! The atmosphere is inviting, with dimmed lights, and an eclectic art-deco meets Vegas theming. The menu resembles a book, and just about everything is absolutely delicious. If you can save room for dessert, which is QUITE difficult given the huge portions, try some of the exotic cheesecake selections. If you're on a date, with your family, or just out for a post-shopping nibble, give Cheesecake Factory a try! more
