Now thatsa atmosphere 2/23/2005

As a lady who grew up in an ""expessive"" Italian family I love the atmosphere and even the noise at Cheesecake Factory. They have some quieter areas if you inquire when you arrive. Also if you don't wish to feel like you are dining with others at your table avoid the area in the main dining with seats across from a long upholstered bench. I love the lovely Bulgarian hostess as well as the other long time, sometimes blonde, sometimes brunette ""Barbie"" one (looks like she weighs all of 90 pounds); a sweetheart! If the need should arise they have a wonderful manager, Tim. Nice, professional young man. Chris is the best server, in my family's opinion. Ask for him if possible. For every minute you have to wait that is how many people are ahead of you more than likely. Chances are the the girl who took your name and/or pager cannot seat you, her job is simply to fill the restaurant and others will be there to seat you shortly. Servers have immense pressure on them because they are sat multiple parties at the same time, so please show a little sympathy. I think they great service for the amount of immense pressure from angry, apathetic customers they get every day! Look around you if you cant walk without bumping into someone, dont complain, they can't help it they're busy. PS: If you made $2.15 an hour you would want someone to leave you the norm of a 20% tip too. Be considerate and they may exceed your expectations! more

SLOW 9/20/2004

This restaurant has the slowest service (and servers) that I've ever seen. After you've waited for up to an hour to be seated, how can it take 45 minutes to get a salad? I've even been after the lunch crowd and still received poor service. For such a pricey place, I expect a little more. The cheescake is typically great but I have received a sour/bad tasting piece on one occasion...again, something not expected for those prices. I wouldn't mind paying a little more if it felt worthy and sadly it doesn't. I've given it several chances and honestly would rather go to one of the other great Southpark area restaurants instead. Pros: Good food more

This restaurant has the slowest service (and servers) that I've ever seen. After you've waited for up to an hour to be seated, how can it take 45 minutes to get a salad? I've even been after the lunch crowd and still received poor service. For such a pricey place, I expect a little more. The cheescake is typically great but I have received a sour/bad tasting piece on one occasion...again, something not expected for those prices. Not group friendly 10/7/2003

I've planned 2 larger group functions here and the timing and managing of the groups by the Cheesecake factory were much less that satisfactory. We were told the wait would be 1 1/2 hrs. but were then told later that it would be an additional 1 1/2 because they had accidentally given our table away. Both times we had 1 server to accommodate a party of 20+ people. I would not suggest having dinner here with a large party. Pros: Food, Drinks Cons: Service, Management, Efficiency more

Festive and Fun 6/19/2003

The wait can be long, but our hostess, Kristin, was gracious and eager to find the perfect spot for our party. Our waitress, Kimberly, was equally competent and polite. The food was good, and the atmosphere was festive and fun for a birthday. The pricing is a bit high, but not outrageous. I recommend you go in ahead of time, and spend some time in the mall to avoid boredom. An appetizer and the cheesecake will probably be more than enough to fill you up. Pros: Staff Cons: Wait more
