Take More Money 3/14/2004

We've eaten here 4 or 5 times. Mostly appetizers which were very good. A couple of the entrees tried were average. The cheescake is outstanding. However, 2 pieces of cheesecake and one coffee plus tip sets you back $20. That's outrageous! Thank goodness my wife can make great cheesecake. I can't afford this anymore. Going after 10:00 pm will reduce your wait time. But go to the ATM first. Pros: Cheesecake Cons: , Wait more

I don't get it! 1/5/2004

All my friends could talk about was this place! I finally have the chance to go.....and I was truly disappointed! Not only was I put off the the hostess, but I felt like I lost 2.5 hours of my life waiting for a below average meal that was WAY OVERPRICED! Yes, the portions are large, but who wants to eat large portions of somethings that isn't good in the first place. Don't Waste Your Time 12/5/2003

If going to crowded malls, battling masses of shoppers, very noisy cafeteria type environments, and 2-3 hour waits is your idea of a great dining experience...then by all means plan your next meal out to Crabtree Valley's Cheescake Factory. But by the time you get to eat your meal, you will likely have lost your appetite. They don't accept reservations, and if you're a single or couple, you'll be placed on a low priority for seating. Why so popular? 11/12/2003

I dont know why this place is so popular. I ate here a few times trying to figure out why, but I just couldnt. It seems that the portions are VERY big and presented very nicely, but after that, theres nothing. Every dish I ate was mediocre at bestnot much flavor. Even the dissert was just OK tasting (again HUGE portion). It seems that they are trying to please everyone by having a varied menu, such as Asian, Mexican, bar food, & Italian all at the same place. That is a nice idea in theory, but it seems that they have cant cook any one style well. If you want Italian or Asian, you are better off going to an Italian or Asian restaurant. I know that I can get better tasting food elsewhere, so I have no reason to go back. Pros: Varied menu, Big portions Cons: Long wait, Bland food more

This is great, mostly healthy food in a loud, noisy, buslting environment. Service varies, but is usually fast if not proper. Try the passion fruit iced tea. Pros: Many choices, Healthy options, good value Cons: noisey, dirty tables often, really busy more

Crabtree Mall's Savior! 10/1/2003

I have dined at Cheesecake Factory Restaurants in Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, San Diego, and Seattle. Although the menus were very similar, each restaurant had its own flair and personality. The menu is diverse with entrees that range from casual to elegant, and the cheesecakes are wonderful - if you don't like cheesecake, the apple dumpling is incredible! The quality of the food, the size of the servings, the service, and the whole dining experience is consistently first rate - which accounts for its popularity. The only negatives are the usual 1 to 2+ hour wait before being seated and they will not take reservations. Opening a Cheesecake Factory (the 2nd in North Carolina) at Crabtree Valley Mall will revitalize that mall. Its popularity and reputation for excellence will bring new and former customers back to the mall. NOT over rated 8/29/2003

I was expecting it to be all hype with mediocre food and awesome cheesecake. But our food was AWESOME. I had Chicken Madeira and I will definitely be going back. It's a little pricier than other trendy places, but I took half my meal home and ate it the next day too (including the cheesecake). Worth splurging on every once in awhile... more

Best in Raleigh 8/23/2003

This is the newest restaurant in Raleigh. I was very impressed by the vegas style atmosphere. The attractive wait-staff was very professional. It was our waitress' first night because it had just opened, but it seemed like she had been working there for years. The bar has outstanding martini's and the food was SUPERB. The menu includes 200 different food items (which does not include the extensive drink menu and fourty different types of to die for cheesecakes). We thought that parking would be a problem but quickly that was taken care of by the valet parking service. Our waitress told us that within 1 month that a new parking deck will be completed for the restaurant. There was a long wait but we were seated within the quoted time by the hostess. Cheesecake Factory is the most oustanding restaurant I've ever been to and is suitable for any occasion. Pros: Exellent Food, Excellent Service, Exellent Atmosphere more
