not go back there.the only tables that get good service.would be the male and children tables.female customers tables get rude service.get seated at dirty tables. the staff not volunteer to clean it up.and push the crumbs on the floors.and the floors are dirty. not volunteer to wait on female customers when coming in the restaurant. the staff gossips.only way female customers can get waited on have to yell at them to get waited on.the same rude treatment when paying for the meal.the staff,females.gossip.female customers have to yell at them to get waited on. and the staff talk and gossip while they wait on female customers. they also walk away in the middle of waiting on them.and not come bad.the waitresses are just as rude.will not volunteer to wait on them,walk away from them while female customers are talking to them,female customers have to ask them to come back and finish job,interrupt them,talk back rude,not volunteer to bring rolls,food,drink,napkins,silverware,try to stick finger in the food of customers,talk on cell telephone while waiting on customers,not volunter to come back to table to see if need more food entrees,drink,napkins,silverware, and bill.throw bill on the table and run away.and not come back. more

been to the restaurant a couple of times and still rude treatment to the female customer tables. went to pay and the to female cashier gossip.had to ask them to get waited on. they still gossip while wait on me and my friend. and stop waiting on me while i pay.and gossip.in the middle of waiting on us. one employee leaves and the other employee continues.the service horrible. hostess not volunteer to wait on. yelled at us. rushed to get rid of us. the waitresses gave us food half cooked,the order was wrong and had to ask the waitress to get it correct.the waitress yelled at us not want to write down order and did it anyway,not volunteer to give us food,drink,silverware,napkins,bill. in the middle of waiting on us. the waitress walked away and not come back,interrupted,tried to start fights, would stop waiting on us to answer cell telephone calls,saw alot of food crumbs on the floor not cleaned up not busy staff,only given one roll we had to ask for more.gave bill and ran away and not c more

What a jewel, great food, great service, good ambience, you sure won't be disappointed here! This restaurant is locally owned and operated, not a chain, so you get that personal attention. At the Carriage House, they don't miss a thing, no details will be overlooked. Try it, you will like it! Excellent steaks! Great veggies, and salads. It's a must. more

My family has been going to this restaurant since I was a child. I am now an adult with grown children and still eat at this restaurant. Over the years I have only had one issue with them and it was resolved quickly. Their food is very good and even though some things in the dinner menu are over priced, you get a fair portion for the money. There is a great selection on the menu and something for everyone. The food is very good and always hot and fresh. George runs the place now and he is always on the floor meeting and greeting people and checking to make sure things are right. Recently I have noticed new wait staff there but if you have a problem with them and speak to George about it, he will deal with the situation. The only problem I have is that several times over this past year, we have wanted to go on a Sunday and they are closed. It is a great place for a nice dinner or a quick lunch or a celebration. The Carriage House has been in W-S for a long time. It used to be across the street on Stratford at Healy at what is now Flow's used car lot. It closed down for a little while, but then it reopened in its current location.\r \r It's Greek owned as most local restaurants are, and it shows. Yummy Greek specials abound on the menu. It can be crazy busy, mainly with older folk, but you can call ahead to get on the waiting list. Also, if you have a party of 6 or more, they basically have a separate list for you, and they try to work to seat large groups fast.\r \r My favorite part of coming here is the relish tray, crackers and cheese spread at the table! more

If you're around Hanes Mall and you want some good home style cooking then check out Carriage House. They have wonderful food, and a friendly family environment. My parents and I have been going to this restaurant for a while now. Simply the best for the area. more

I went to this place as a child with my grandparents. We thought we were living large with the relish tray and cheese they served before the meal. They closed for awhile then reopened across the street. I have been going there for years still with my grandmother and with my children now. we still love it. It is as great now as it was then. The weight staff is great and friendly. The managers/owners always come by your table to see if you need anything else. Great customer service. I had dinner at the Carriage House the Saturday night before Mother's Day in 1985, my son was born the next day....I can remember going out to dinner with my parents in the 70's, the best fillet tips in the city....no doubt!!! This restaurant has maintained the quality of the finest dishes, with impeccable service...enough said. Anyone who has experienced the nostalgia, will return time and time again. Its nice to go to a place that owners/staff care that you came. At lunch the other day, because of a diet Im trying, I made a special request on the preparation of my Salmon - the server and kitchen made it just the way I needed it without any questions. Not only that, the owner came by to see if it was the way I wanted it prepared and thanked me for coming. This place has been around forever - now I know why. I used to take my wife to the Carriage House when we started dating 15 years ago. Even thought they moved locaations it is still our favorite place to go. Great quiet atmosphere that allows us to take the kids or leave them at home. Menu has something for everyone. Dinner is great, they still offer a complimentary relish tray and cheese crock.
