French Faux Pas 3/18/2011

This place was a big disappointment. The escargots were shrunk and wrinkled; the tuna sashimi was not fresh, it had not moist on it, the sauce on it was spicy but not pleasant. We ordered the ""cassaulette"", which comes served not in a little casserole dish as it is nicely done in better French restaurants. The meal looked like just coming out from a salad bar - The beans were small, and tasted like canned beans; the ""duck"" looked and tasted like an old chicken. My husband ordered the Tilapia with champagne sauce, but it came out cold, the sauce was very uninspired and the rice grains were small and plain like the ones you can get at any Stop and Shop store - The bill was grand though: This dinner costed close to $100 with tip - We will not go back. more

Very Good French Seafood 2/21/2007

This one is a real gem if you like fine seafood cuisine. The chef is passionate about the food and the customers, and it shows. Adjacent "O Bar" serves a great martini, although the 'upper class' ambiance that it started with has been eroded by what appear to be "townie" regulars. (why one would go to a wine/martini bar to swill budweiser is beyond this writer) Pros: The Fois Gras! Cons: Parking more
