COOL BAR 10/8/2008

Great place to hang out and have some drinks. Great location and good drinks. Mostly young good-looking professionals are usually here. What I also like about this place is right next to a new bar (Corner Bar). Also a really great place to hang out...even better looking people. So, it makes bar hopping really easy. Check it out. more

great time! 6/8/2008

Best Dive bar you will ever go to!! I had such a great time not to mention that the staff is extremely friendly and drinks are stroooongg!!! more

Historic hole in the wall 6/24/2007

I can't write too much about the Blue Room because by the time I left, I was so intoxicated that I barely remembered it the next morning. (Shame on those dirty martinis!) Mellow, low key, down to earth crowd. Cash only. Good drinks, friendly bartender...no food but they allow you to bring in food from outside. Pros: The whole package Cons: Parking more

Burbank's Gem 1/31/2007

My friend introduced me to this place and it has quickly become my favorite place to be. The drinks are reasonably priced and the jukebox is great. The interior is wonderful and it's definitely a must if you're in Burbank!!!! more

great fun 10/26/2006

I cant say enough good stuff about this place. First of all, it has to have the best juke box around. You can find any of your favorite songs in here. The crowd is mixed which is great so if you are 21 or 51 you would have a good time here. No one pretentious here. Everyone is down to earth including the bartenders and waiters. They know how to make you feel at home. Drinks are good and not expensive. Friday and Saturday nights are best Fun Fun Fun more

The local hangout where anyone might show up 8/16/2006

Love, love love this place. I was in the area for 4 months for work and it didn't take long to find this place - locals point to it, the cabbies know where it is. Unpretentious, fun and a great place to meet people. Drinks are still cheap, even imports. Can be dead through the week but the weekends get busy. Darts, conversation, loud ecclectic music and folks from all over the world. Staff is friendly, flirty and always willing to do a shot with you. Go as casual or as decked out as you like, the crowd is a real mixed bag, which I found to be part of it's appeal. Pros: fun easy going crowd, cheap drinks, retro feel Cons: small parking, no bar munchies more

Best in Burbank 3/10/2005

The drinks, the staff, the atmosphere and the crowd. These elements make a bar or break it. The Blue Room mixes these up with great success. Drinks are cheap and powerful ($4-$6 on average). The waitresses and bartenders are attentive and capable. The swank yet unpretentious atmosphere of the Blue Room is legendary. You feel comfortable and at ease from step one into the door. Then there is the crowd - talk about some good people. I've met some of the most entertaining, outgoing, casual and outright fun people at the Blue Room. I am happy to suggest this place to any and all and glad to say I'll be back often. Great place! Pros: Great Prices, Inviting Atmosphere, Fun people & staff Cons: Crowded weekends, limited parking, limited Seating more

Disappointing 9/12/2004

There's no food, but they let you bring takeout from the Mexican restaurant next door. The look of the place and the service were very good, but where's that lauded social scene? The place was full of middle-aged guys who looked like they'd been there since mid-afternoon, nursing their drinks and watching TV. And speaking of the drinks, what are the inexpensive ones? The price of my gin and tonic was okay, but not the bargain other reviews suggested. Next time we'll go elsewhere. Pros: service more

Best Bar 8/31/2004

All I have to say is that I love the blue room. Everyone there is so nice and friendly, I hardly go anywhere else! I meet so many great people and all the employees are so wonderful. From the owner John, to the bartenders Matty, Lew, Johnny and Jeff, not to mention the waitresses Ronnie, Kelly, and Judy, you guys are the best. You make everyone feel so welcome. Thank you!! I highly recommend everyone to check the place out. You won't regret it!! Pros: Great Prices, Friendly employees, Awesome Jukebox Cons: , No dance floor more

O'Malley says: just great 6/11/2004

Close to my house and reasonable, good service, jukebox and prices New Plasma Screen TV for sports Pros: Price, service, neighborhood more

Great hang out 10/28/2003

The Blue Room is by far one of the best bars to hang out in, whatever your looking for. If you want to meet new people or just grab drinks with your friends, this place has it all. Great atmosphere, strong, inexpensive drinks and the service is awesome. Friday and Saturday's is the main event, but don't be surprised to see the palce jumping on any day of the week - you just never know. Attitudes are left at the door - and most of the crowd are down to earth, let's have fun people. Be warned, the place is not large, so show up early if you want a seat. Pros: Strong drinks, inexpensive, Good atmosphere Cons: small place, hard to park more

Great place 7/22/2003

The place was small but yet the environment was well deserved to be great for a great nite to drink have a great social life and "possibly" meet new ones. I recomend it to everyone ! ....ahhhh, and to mention, it wasn't crowded ! Which is a big plus. Anyone who doesn't know about the blue room, come on down ! Pros: Good parking! Cons: n/A more

Not to be considered Trendy 10/24/2002

That's right!.. This is a local bar to come and hang out after work. It's not trendy, which means I can afford to buy that beer for a girl and know that she's down to earth!! more

local dive only 10/17/2002

From the picture posted I thought this was a hip, chic place. It's really only a casual, local, blue colar kinda dive. I went on a Thursday evening after work and it was stuffed with over 40, "Rosanne Show" type men and women. The staff was really friendly and the patio in the back was nice and quiet. I just expected a different kinda crowd. I felt like I was in Kentucy, not "Hollywood Studio Central", Burbank. This isn't a BAD place at all. Just not what I expected. Pros: friendly staff, Ivy covered patio Cons: parking on game night, crowd over 40 more

Great place to unwind 8/8/2002

The Blue Room is one of the most laid back and reasonably priced bars that I have ever been too. Perks include the Internet jukebox, comfy booths, delightful cocktail waitresses, an immaculate ladies room, and smoker-friendly outside seating. Warning: do not aggravate the bartendersthey can be pretty nasty when provoked! more

Gotta Love It ! 8/1/2002

This little gem is a perfect, laid back, upbeat, friendly little hole in the wall complete with good people and an amazing Lemondrop Martini!! The prices are incredibly resonable and the crowd is unpretentious.I hate to rave too much for fear that hoards of people will take over my favorite neighborhood haunt and I'll never get a blue booth again. more

stay away! please! 7/7/2002

i've been coming to this neighborhood favorite for several years now and have seen several waxes and wanes in it's popularity but prefer the quiet neighborhood atmosphere as opposed to the crowds that rush in every time this place gets written up. if you're looking for a friendly neighborhood crowd to wind down with at the end of a long day, this is your place (unless of course you're on the prowl looking for action, head up the street to the bbg, please) more

  • The Scene
Behind a corrugated-steel entrance lies a room where little has changed since the 1950s. Bobby Darin is on the jukebox, affable guys are slinging drinks at the sleek, dark bar while amorous couples look hep in turquoise booths. The interior is so comfortable, the staff so welcoming and the drinks so cheap that one can't help but wondering if a time travel experiment has taken place. Even the bathrooms are spotless works of interior design. Modern realities become apparent out on the long patio, though, which caters to smokers.

    The Draw
The place has a rep for studio execs, but the regulars are a crop of gregarious, skilled professionals. Come after work and throw back a bottle of American beer. On Saturday nights, when the joint jumps, wow the crowd with a flaming beverage. Small and swank, the Blue Room is a true gem.
