I went to Emily for the first time this past weekend to get a brow wax and an extended bikini wax. She was, by far, the most pain-free and effective waxer I've ever experienced. And I've been up and down the CA coast! Not only was her technique flawless, but her personality set me at ease and was very inviting. She chatted with me just enough to take my mind off the fact that she now knows intimate details about my body that my BFFs dont even know! I will definitely be back. more

Fantastic treatment 1/15/2012

Emily is just the best beautician I have been too, so knowledgeable, latest equipment, really clean and comfortable surroundings. It just makes the hairs stand up on your neck you feel so yummy being pampered there. Really would highly recommend. more

Emily is the Best! 1/8/2012

When I moved to San Rafael from Los Angeles in 2009, I did not know where I would get my eybrows and bikini waxed. By chance, I found Emily. I hit it off with Emily right away. She's personable and knowlegeable about skin care. She also used this wax that did not make me wince in sheer pain. Plus, I love the way she shapes my eyebrows. I've also received facials from Emily and those are great as well. I wish I could get facials more often. Emily is fantastic! more

Fabulous Facial! 12/11/2011

I have had many facials in my lifetime and many from swanky spas but I have always felt that those facials were cookie-cutter standards where everyone got the same thing no matter what their skin was like. The facial I had this past Saturday felt like it was customized for my skin type and condition. Not only was it enjoyable, soothing and relaxing, my skin feels softer than I ever remember it. My eyebrow wax was perfect! Very relaxing space and Emily is really mellow and enjoyable to talk to. I'm going to go back for a facial next. I love that you can book online and parking is easy on that part of 4th street. more

I have been to so many salons for waxing, but I could tell you guys that Emily is the best. The room is clean. Emily changes new stick every time she dip the stick to the waxing pot. Highly recommended. more

A wonderful and giving facial 11/10/2011

From the start I was anticipating my facial because Emily has humanity and kindness in her voice and in her deeds. I was happpy to come to her little Beauty Nook and it lives up to it's name . It was a wonderful European facial and replenished my skin and her method and products are Top Notch. I was so glad I found this little gem. I will be glad to return and buy her products and get my next facial. Emily knows how to make you feel welcome and knows how to give a great facial. more

Truly low-pain waxing 11/6/2011

best waxing in Marin, hands down. I have crazy sensitive skin that reacts to everything, I've had nasty reactions and really painful waxing experiences in the past. Emily was efficient and personable. I HIGHLY reccommend The Beauty Nook! :) more

I've been seeing Emily for more than a year now and I love, love, love her!! Not only is she adorable, she's created a business and environment that makes you want to come back for every treatment!! I regularly get pain free eyebrow waxing and a tint, which lasts about 6 long weeks. Definetly a great place to be pampered.5 big stars!!! more
