EXcellent!!!! 5/22/2004

My family and I just tried The Bears Steakhouse after hearing all the rave reviews. All I can say is that it was more than expected! The portions were huge, the food was delicious and the hospitality was incredible. The owner himself greeted us and made sure that we were happy, and the waiter was evry attentive and polite, which is a rarity in itself. If you have to wait-so what! It was well worth it!! Tried to make reservations a week in advance. A surly woman answered the phone. When I asked for reservations, she snapped they were booked up and hung up. Called back and tried for the following weekend , she replied that it was Mother's Day weekend and they were booked up and again hung up. I tried the next day for the following weekend and the same unpleasant woman told me that it was too far in advance to make reservations to try again in a week or so and again hung up. In all these conversations not once did she answer with the business name and seemed annoyed that I called for reservations. We heard good things about this restaurant but based on our calls there and the way I was spoken to, I hesitate to go there. Guess they are so good they don't need my business. more

I have enjoyed every meal I have ever gotten at The Bear's! I think the best part of the restaurant is that the owners will come right out and talk to you, making you feel like part of the family. If you happen to go there during Raspberry season, you may just catch a piece of the Raspberry pie that Mama Bear makes from the berries in the yard!! INCREDIBLE! Even in December, I would recommend reservations...I hear there is a 2 week waiting list right now! more

The Bears satisfy any bears appetite! 8/6/2002

The prime rib and fillet mignon are very good as is the chateaubriand. I've yet to try seafood although others rave! Not a very large dining area so it fills fast. Get there before six and you stand a chance at a seating. Great service at quite reasonable prices. Pros: Service, Quality, Pricing Cons: Availability, Ambiance, coziness more
