An awesome spa company doing something good for a change 12/8/2008

If you do not know about this company - you need to. It's unbelievable!!! I found them through a local event in Hermosa and they have spas all over the state now. You can get 4 visits to a spa for only 65 bucks. Hello? Can you hear me out there? Things like facials, expensive laser treatments, massages, hot stone - all good stuff. And you can choose a charity or school for a portion of the cost ($15) to go to when you shop on their website. That certainly takes the sting out of shopping this holiday season. LOL I bought a few for gifts already this year and they loved them. I'm on their preferred list now so I get great updates ;) Check it out - you won't be sorry. I'm not! Pros: More and more spas to choose from on their site, really friendly people at the company, reputable company Cons: Want more spas that are Eco-friendly ;) more

Best Spa Package Deals ever, for Charity, too! 12/7/2008

Are you a treatments gal or guy? or would you like to be, barring cost? Receive four spa services worth hundreds of dollars at a salon in your neighborhood for a mere $65. Select a salon from their list which you've never used before, in a neighborhood within 10 or 15 miles of where you live or work, since the salons are offering these deals to attract new customers. I've had the most AMAZING experiences...laser skin resurfacing and hair removal, microdermabrasion, Velasmooth, and other fabulous treatments. The best massages of my life were at Carino Massage. (Click on Beverly Hills area salons.) How to support your favorite charity at the same time? Click on the charity in the left corner of the main page before shopping and $15 of your purchase will go to your cause. (If you don't have one, please consider clicking on Emerson Middle School <--my school, a cash strapped, largely minority, Title One public school. The kids thank you in advance! :-)) Pros: really helpful, nice, and knowledgable customer service Cons: these cards make great gifts, but tell the recipients the rules in advance more

Great gift and charity ideas + inexpensive spa services = ge 12/4/2008

While i admit to a bias because I know people who work at this company, I can still wholeheartedly recommend their service. It's one of the most incredible deals you'll find out there, and in this economic climate it is a coup to give something REALLY nice without having to pay a lot for it! In fact, you might fool your recipient into thinking you spent a lot more than you did :) Here's how it works: You go to their website, spasforacause dot com, and buy an Eleanor Card if it's a gift, and a specific spa card if it's for you. They've got spas throughout California so there's a good chance you have one near you... and you only pay $65 for 4 visits that usually would cost about $300... but it's only for people who have never been to that spa because the idea is to get new clients for the spa. I certainly enjoyed the services I got with my card... and I'll be going back to that spa, they were great. But the really cool thing is that they support all kinds of school fundraisers and charities. You can contribute to any of their beneficiaries just by selecting that as your fundraiser when you check out... and that group gets $15! So you get to give a gift that makes you look good or give yourself a gift that makes you feel good, and help out a school that's probably having its funding cut. A win-win-win! Oh yeah, and unlike other "spa promotion" companies that you may have heard horror stories about, The Eleanor Group has great customer service, sustainable business practices and a true concern for the community. Pros: Value, Service, Choice, Charity Cons: Time limit, only California more
