The Applianceman Service

I had a very good experience with Applianceman Service. They were very responsive. It was two days of assessment, and during the follow-up they did the actual correction. Both people were polite and very knowledgeable. The fellow who did the installation of the evaporator was delightful to have in my house. He kept on target and answered questions politely and knowledgeably. He was very respectful of my property, which I often find is not the case with repairmen. more

Applianceman Service just checked out our refrigerator to make sure it was operating properly. They needed to check the door, nothing critical. It was satisfactory. more

Applianceman repaired a broken water line (behind referigerator) for a part cost of $20 and labor of $90. Water line subsequently cracked. Because water line was behind fridge, there was no external aggravation of the water line. Therefore, the water line must have been cracked when it was installed or installed improperly. I called appliancemen to replace water line again and requested they only charge me 50 of the labor (so $45 instead of $90) since it was an issue they just fixed. Mike (who I assume is the owner of Applianceman) was not willing to provide that discount, but offered $10 off as a courtesy but attempted to tell me it was not their problem. I am going to use a different repair service that will stand behind their service. more

He was very personable, respectful, and seemed to know a lot about what he was doing. He did exactly what we needed. When I had appliance problems, they ordered us some parts, which came in a timely manner, and they were out right away. It was a very good experience and I would have Jamie from Applianceman Service come back in a flash. Jamie has a great aptitude for what he does and he was very caring. I was very pleased with him! He worked on my washer machine and dishwasher and now they are working really well. I would highly recommend them, especially Jamie. This was the first time I had used Applianceman Service. I called them in the morning and someone came out a few hours later. The man who came out was fantastic. He got right down to it. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and professional and took care of the issue quickly. I had a good experience with Applianceman. They came out, they fixed my problem, and then they left. The part they replaced was defective the first time around, but this was the fault of the manufacturer, not theirs. They got me a new part, and once again installed it quickly and left. They took care of everything, got it done. And the serviceman was excellent. more

They came out to fix my subzero refrigerator. They mananged to break it while here and charged me for a second service call. They were extremely rude on the phone and never followed up after I left 2 messages. I would hire a monkey before I called them again. more

Applianceman Service was very quick in responding to my calls. They were easy to schedule with and always arrived when they said they were going to. The workers were friendly, willing to help and eager to do their work. They weren't in a rush to leave. My only drawback was that it was a brand new appliance and it took seven months to get it working. Once they had the parts, they worked quickly and efficiently and took great care in getting it to work correctly. Overall, it was a good experience. I was going to have my son do the job I needed done, but when it turned out to be a little harder than I originally thought it would be, I called Appliance Man Service on a recommendation. I was very happy with the service we got. The man was polite, prompt, courteous and really went out of his way to help us out. He cleaned up as he went and really did a great job. Appliance Man's service was very good. I had one of their competitors to come out and try and fix the problem with this front loading dishwasher under warranty. The competitor did nothing other than determine what wasn't wrong with it, then they left, saying the next time I called them they would do something about what was wrong with it. Then I tried Appliance Man. The guy quickly found what was wrong, but he didn't have the parts in the truck, so he had to go get them, which was a serious disadvantage for me. I had to spend a half day of vacation time waiting. He said he would come back in about a week and half, so I had to spend another four hours of valuable vacation time to be here, but he was excellent putting the components in. He was very inclusive with the problems he found as well, going back to the truck to get all the equipment he might need for all the potential problems. It was a good use of my time, and I have not had a problem since he's come, so that's good. The only thing I would request of Appliance Man is that they would keep more components and parts in the truck so that when they come the first time they can just complete it in the first four hours. more

The freezer in my old sub zero refrigerator stopped working recently and the food was thawing. I searched for a service company that was factory authorized and found Appliance Man. They came out the same day and fixed the freezer before the food melted. Great service and prompt. more

For the past few months, my dishwasher had been leaving food and soap residue on the dishes. I'd gotten into the habit of rinsing the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. But that was silly, cleaning the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, so I called The Applianceman Service. The fellow who answered my call was very nice, and he sent Jamie to my house two days later. Jamie wiped the soap residue off the gaskets, cleaned out the detergent-clogged drain hose, ran a wash cycle with a bowl of vinegar on the top shelf, and most important, explained that detergent manufacturers had changed their formula a few months ago, taking out the phosphates. Jamie recommended switching to Finish Quantum or Finish Powerball. These dishwashing detergents are phosphate-free and effective. What a difference! In addition to Jamie solving my problem, he showed up on time, wore booties inside my house, left my kitchen clean and was very pleasant. A real professional!
