My Experience with Thayer Marine. 10/9/2011

This Summer I visited Thayer Marine a few times for parts for my previous boat. I am surprised at another reviewer's post saying they are pricy. I bought a blower for my boat that came right in line with prices I check online. Actually they were cheaper than some sites. Everytime I went into their store, they were extremely friendly and helpful. I ended up buying a new boat from Kris Thayer. He was great to work with. It was one of the best buying experiences I have ever had. Kris was not pushy and extremely patient. He was also very knowledgeable about his products. I would not hesitate sending any of my family or friends to him. more

Love my Pontoon!! 6/1/2011

Absolutely on top of current market conditions and buyers expectations. I had to send out probably a dozen email price inquires to boat dealers , most much closer to my home, all giving specifics of what I was looking for by brand and engine specifications. Out of the dozen I sent out, I recieved only 2 replies back, the first was Mr. Kris Thayer within approx 30 minutes, with price , engine prices, and a total, the second came back with questions asking me exactly what I was looking for which I explained in my initial request. OK do these boat dealers understand its the 21st century, poeple buy things over the INTERNET...we really are serious buyers..DuH! Anyway, after a little ONLINE HOMEWORK...(exuse the caps, I am just hoping the dealer 3 miles from my home reads this) I packed up the Tahoe and my family and drove 4 hours from Illinois to Michigan to pick up my new Bennington Pontoon. The transaction was seamless, painless, and Kris was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. more

Too Pricey! 8/20/2008

The service is fine and they have lots of parking. \r \r But, I would recommend finding another place for equipment and supplies at a lower price. more
