Large variety of dishes 11/11/2007

We like Thai food, and have visited a large number of restaurants around the Metroplex. The menu @ Thai Tango has more variety to the menu, and style of dishes, compared to other Thai restaurants. The quality of food is good. The food tends to be a bit more spicey than other locations, but it's enjoyable. For those who enjoy this type of food, it's worth a visit. more

Great Food, Great People, Great Atmosphere 5/21/2007

My date and I decide to go have a fun evening here. Our waitress Angela was great at explaining the key points of the menu being this was our first time eating there. The martinis where wonderful, the live band was just rights and the food was delicious. I would recommend this dinning experience to all. Pros: Atmosphere, Service, Food more

Great food, best drinks around and for sure the best mojito in dallas 5/11/2007

my wife and i found this Thai place in inside Flower Mound's Parker Square (it was hidden), we never had Thai food before so thought we give it a try. We sat down at the bar, which was very interesting looking, the bartender walked us through the menu and made some great suggestions. highly suggested the Fried Tilapia and Snapper. He also convinced us tried the snow crab rangoon. we had the rangoon before but never this good the sauce, the cream cheese just melts in your mouth, its really good. I love Mojitos but a lot place in Dallas don't make it right using the premixes but here we watch the bartender spend 3 minutes making just one Mojito and it was definitly worth it, absolutly best in Dallas. My wife absolutly loves their Martinis, the Black Martinis is really good and be sure the try their dessert Martinis!!!! Even after 40 minute talking with the bartender and drinking our food still taste great. MUST TRY THE RED SNAPPER OR THE TILAPIA. Pros: Drinks, Food, Service, Very Friendly, Great for dates, Unique Cons: Parking, Not open all day closes from 2:30 to 5:00. more

Warning for teens. 1/26/2007

Two friends and I decided that we were in the mood for Thai food and decided that Thai Tango would be a nice place to go. We dressed appropriately, because it was decently 'upscale', and made a reservation. We were told it'd be 30 minutes. Well, that's fine, it was busy, and we waited. And waited. We saw people walk in and get seats before us, even though they'd just waited 10 or so minutes,, and when the 30 minute mark came I asked when our seats would be ready. We were told there were three people ahead of us. Okay, that's fine. Then, ten minutes later, it was the "Your table is ready but we have to clean it." Then, another ten minutes, and we're finally seated with no silverware, glasses, or menus. Some people come around 5 minutes later with the silverware and glassware, but no menus, whilst a table of 5 is seated with everything, including menus, and they take their order. At this point, we've been sitting down for about 10-15 minutes, and no one has asked us for drinks, given us menus, or even approached us. So we left. I know we're teens, and stereotypically notoriously 'bad' tippers. On the other hand, though, we were quite the opposite. We were polite, behaved nicely, and while waiting, instead of clogging up the waiting space, we stood outside in the winter weather. We deserve that same amount of respect as any other customer. I was severely disappointed in the service, and it saddens me that I can't get service just because I look young. Pros: Nice atmosphere, trendy Cons: Poor service, age discrimination more

don't go out of your way to get here 5/15/2006

My husband and I love thai food and eat it often, so we decided to give this place a try. Lets start with the decor...noticably chipped paint, an overhead light which had come undone from the ceiling and was dangling by its electrical cord, and a general untidiness about the place. As for the food...starters were unimpressive (tempura shrimp and calamari) and the soups (their rough equivalent to tom kha and tom yum) are easily forgettable. We split and entre after trying the other things that would have been better skipped. The entre was better, but not what was advertised (seafood in a white sauce) as the sauce was dominated by yellow curry. Personally, I love curry but my husband does not, so the dish was really a miss here too for that reason. more
