I am a long time customer at Thai Star and I always recommend it to everyone I know. In addition to solo visits, we often have group get togethers for dinner and often meet for special occasions. The food is excellent in quality, quantity, and price. Everything on the menu (soup, spring rolls, and entrees) is made from scratch and is authentic Thai cuisine. There are minor variations in the food from visit to visit which is due to 'made from scratch', but I have never been disappointed with any food and the taste is consistently superb. There is complimentary hot tea during the winter and extras like chopsticks, take out boxes, napkins, etc... are out where customers can grab them as needed or just ask the wait staff if you are not in a hurry. Althiugh I have never had a complaint, the only ones I have heard are too crowded / slow service during lunch, no desserts, no free refills on pop, and one person complains that it is not hot enough! Lunch is crowded because of the great food and excellent prices but that can be minimized by arriving early or by calling ahead to order (dine in or carry out). If you call ahead and specify party size, arrival time, names and food orders, you will 'cut ahead' of those still reading the menu. Regardless, I have never experienced the kind of delays mentioned elsewhere for this establishment. All restaurants have the occasional mixups and mishaps and there is always some turnover in personnel so I don't know the circumstances for the reported 'bad experiences'. My friends and I always enjoy our visits and meals at this restaurant and we each have our favorites (curry dishes and noodles for me and one person who swears by the fried rice entrees). If you like Thai food, this place will satisfy.
Pros: Food quality, quantity, and taste
Cons: Small 'strip mall' location
