Best

Great food, great service, and great advice on what to see and to do while you visiting Thailand. I would recommended this play of anyone that love Thai food like I do.

Worst

I had a mixed experience at Thai Siam. The soup was good as was the salad. However, the judge of any thai restaurant comes from its Pad Thai. This ubiquitios dish should be goo...

Definately best Thai in SLC and beyond 6/5/2009

I went to Thai Siam on their opening day and fell in love with their Massaman. We've been back numerous times and returned again tonight with our friends who were nervous about Thai food. We ordered Massaman, Pad Thai, Citrus Curry, chicken and peanut sauce and the Tom Kha Gai Soup. Pros: Wonderful flavors more

Delightful with the enjoyment 1/7/2009

good for a quick lunch, but was much better before... 12/26/2008

This place is good for a quick lunch, pricing is very reasonable, but I must agree with others that this place is ""slipping..."" service not as good as before, food seams 'rushed"" not like before, service staff not as attentive as before, but all in all good for lunch, with good pricing... I recommend you request 'real Thai style' from your server and the cook will adjust to a more authentic flavor... Pros: quick Thai lunch for a good price Cons: some times too bland, must request ""authentic Thai style"" more

Rude and Incompetent 12/25/2008

I went here on Christmas day with a friend because it was one of the few places open. Not only did they mess up the order badly, but they also cussed out my friend after demanding an explanation for why no tip was left. I certainly will not return and do not recommend this establishment to anyone. For good Thai food, there are certainly much better restaurants available which will not yell four and five letter explitives at their customers on the way out the door. more

Used to be good 9/22/2008

I have not been here for awhile and decided to revisit it last weekend. Cons: food more

Best ever 9/19/2008

I love this place. Everything I have had is great. I get somthing difrent every time I go and I am always very happy with it. The Thai Iced Tea is so good I want one just typing about it. Service is great. They always let my little boy run around and they even play with him.... This place ROCKS!!!!!!!!! Pros: Everthing you could name!! Cons: Not closer to my home. more

delicious 8/2/2008

I have been to every thai restaurant in the valley, so it seems. Their Yellow Curry is the absolute best in Utah. So deliciou! I crave this food all the time. They are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is fun. Definitaly try the yellow curry and the soups! Pros: Great food, reasonably priced Cons: not as cozy as other restaruants more

Not Authentic 6/22/2008

I was really disappointed with Thai Siam. I've heard other Salt Lakers speak positively of it, so I gave it a shot the other night. Unfortunately, other than the colorful, fun atmosphere, the food was the worst I've had in Utah. My pad thai was barely warm and overly sweet, and the green curry literally made me gag (and that dish is usually my favorite at Thai restaurants). Look elsewhere for good Thai. more

AMAZING!!! 4/7/2008

I was a bit skeptical at first and didnt want to get anything gross! Once I tried the food, I now CRAVE it it is sooo good! The Chicken Satay is my favorite with the peanut dipping sauce, I fell in love with it the first time I had it. The entree's are great just depending on what your taste is like. Overall this place is amazing! The food is great, the people are friendly, and the atmosphere is decorated so uniquely! I would have these people in my house to cook for me all the time! Pros: everything Cons: very busy more

The Worst Thai I've Had 3/19/2008

Three friends and I visited, ordered two dishes, and couldn't finish either, as they were awful. Everything was loaded with sugar, and the pad thai is by far the worst I've tasted- Imagine luke warm noodles covered in a mixture of ketchup and vinegar. There is far better Thai food to be had in the Salt Lake valley. Pros: Decent atmosphere Cons: Food is overly sweet, tastes cheap more

Not bad 12/1/2007

I am half Thai and decided to finally check this place out. I thought the place was a little bit dirty. Our silverware and table were not clean. I thought the portions were large but the food itself was not bad. The waitress was nice and I spoke some Thai with her and she gave me some Nam Prik. The prices were good but overall I wasn't that impressed. I would just rather cook at home. I suppose when I go out for Thai I want that food to be exceptional since I can cook it myself. more

So, so! 10/31/2007

I have heard a lot of mixed reviews from my friends on this place. I finally checked it out for myself. I decided to go there one night - party of one. The service was great. The meal was just so, so, but actually I started with a cocunut milk/veggie soup and that was fresh and lovely. The rice was quite dry and my curry was not what I expected - I wanted some more spicyness a little bland for my liking. The dish I ordered had tons of potatoes, carrots and tofu - a larger protion than I thought I was getting. I thought the prices were pretty good considering that I left full and made two meals out of my leftovers. I did not feel rushed by the servers which sometimes I do they just let me be and even after I paid they still were very attentive and refilled my drink. The food was not my fave but I will probably return in the future to try something else and give it a second chance. Pros: Service Cons: Bland curry more

Excellent Thai food 2/24/2007

Used to be our favorite Thai restaurant until the former owner/manager opened another Thai establishment (Sawandee) on South Temple. Haven't been back to Thai Siam since but , having discovered it when it first opened, always had a good dining experience there. Pros: Authentic good food Cons: Original owner opened Sawandee on North Temple which we now prefer. more

yuck 2/13/2007

Thai Siam's pad thai is the worst I have ever eaten. It was way too goopy and sweet - like they'd added ketchup AND sugar. When I complained, they told me that it was an ""authentic recipe."" Yuuuuck. Not everything is bad, but it's definitely not a place I'd go back to. If you want amazing, local Thai food in Salt Lake City, go to Chanon Thai Cafe on 9th South below 3rd East. Pros: atmosphere, spring rolls, tea Cons: pad thai, authenticity, it's a franchise more

Flavorless, dirty, and overratted. 9/1/2006

We were seated with no wait on a Saturday night. Pros: Easy parking, no wait, nice people Cons: Flavorless food, dirty eating area more

Not totally authentic, but excellent 8/12/2006

As far as quality, the food is very good. We have been going here for some time, but when the new Thai restaurant, Sawadee opened on South Temple, we started going there. BOTH are very good, but we like the atmosphere at Sawadee better, and have found it to be less expensive. Bottom line: go to whichever is more convenient; both are really good! Pros: very good but not totally authentic food. more

The worst Thai Food Award 5/31/2006

Unless you never had Thai food before avoid this place at all cost. I cannot believe they receive so many positive feedbacks. The decor is bare minimum. The host did not even bother with a greeting. I ordered a steamed sea bass it was simply soaked in Soy Sauce. I had better food than this at Panda Express. Service was unfriendly. I left the place wishing I was hungry so I could go to another restaurant to recover from the dining experience. A++ for marketingpromotion. Pros: Great Marketing Cons: Location, Food, Service more

Best Quality 2/8/2006

This place has the Best Quality and service. My wife and friends come often and we have always been treated great. The food is always consistent and every time our company entertains we choose thai siam. The veggie dishes are the best in Salt Lake. Loyal customers. Keep it up! Pros: Great Food, Good recipes, Good Service Cons: need to expand, more seating more

Delicious 1/20/2006

I had the Phad Thai, my wife had the ""Garlic Stir Fried."" The Phad thai was a little sweet, but still very good. The garlic stir fry was great. The standout at this place was the chicken they use in their dishes. It's nice, high quality meat. It's really busy though! Pros: Inexpensive, Great Sauces, Quality Ingredients Cons: Crowded, Cramped Dining more

hmmm.... craving 11/16/2005

Can I just tell you that I sit here craving Thai Siam? The food is delicious and the value is wonderful. For an appetizer try the curry puffs. They are heavenly. Theres an excellent menu for vegetarians. The portions are very generous. Ever since trying it I have craved their yellow curry with tofu and curry puffs. The ambience is great and the service is always fast. I really recommend this restaurant, especially if you have vegetarian and meat-eaters dining together. Pros: curry puffs, Fried Tofu more
