Thai On Hilands

I WENT HERE TO TRY IT OUT TO TRY SOMETHING NEW... I SAT AT A SEAT AND THEY HAD TRIM ON THE WALL RIGHT IN MIDDLE OF YOUR BACK WHERE U SIT SO IT WAS UNCOMFORTABLE!!! SO I MOVED TO ANOTHER THAT DIDNT HAVE THAT BUT WALL WAS SO HARD!! AND THE SEAT WAS HARD! I PUT MY ARMS ON TABLE AND IT WAS STICKY!! THEY HAD A PLATE ON THE TABLE.. I WAS WAITING FOR MY FOOD.... SO I HAPPENED TO LOOK DOWN AND HAD IT HAD DIRT SPOTS AND A HAIR ON IT SO I LOOKED AROUND THE WALLS ETC WHERE DUSTY!!!! EVEN THE LAMINATED TABLE STAND THAT HAS A MENU ON IT HAD FOOD INSIDE PRIOR TO LAMINATION!!!! I IMEDIATELY WORRIED OF MY FOOD BUT ALREADY HAD ORDERED, AND I GO TO THE GAS STATION RIGHT NEXT TO IT SO I DIDNT WANT TO WALK OUT. I THOUGHT OK ILL EAT AND GO... SO THE FOOD CAME TO LITTLE UNDER 9 BUCKS, AND IT WASNT MUCH FOOD FOR PRICE AT ALL, I DIDNT GET FULL... THEY GOT THE CHANGE FROM THE NINE BUCKS LIKE 35 CENTS.. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE ITS FILTHY AND FOOD ISNT WORTH THE PRICE... AND TO TOP IT OFF AFTER AN HOUR I HAD BLACK RUNNY DIAREAH!!!!!!!!!! THIS PLACE IS SICK I AM REPORTING THEM TO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT NOW!!!!!!! IF U GO HERE GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!! more

I've been a fan of this place for over 6 years and continue to go back at least once a week. I love the Tom Kah Gai. This soup is fabulous. I love to pour it over the sticky rice and add enough hot to suit my taste. Narin and his wife had worked hard to make this Thai restaurant better and better. Go... you won't be sorry. We've always gone to Seattle, Bellevue or Kirkland for Thai food. No more. Why did it take so long to find this wonderful place? Best food in Renton - period. Add terrific service and atmosphere plus extremely reasonable prices. Don't judge this terrific place from the outside like we did. So many menu choices that are all terrific. Wow!! Pros: Great service and food. Always good parking. more

This place rocks!!! I love super spicy thai and everywhere else makes thier 5 star pretty weak or medium. When I order from here, I don't have to add spice when I get it home. Thier Phad Thai has wonderful flavor, great spice, and really sweet people that work there. I am usually disappointed when I get Thai, but this place is FANTASTIC!!!!! I highly recommend trying this place. Pros: F*king fantasic food!!!!!!!!!! Cons: hmmmm.......um.....nothing more

I have been going to Thai on Highland for about two years. It has the best tasting Thai food I have tried in Seattle (actully in LA and San Francisco as well). The prices are fairly low and the service is excellent. I come mostly on Sundays and the place is almost always empty - apperently they don't spend much on advertising. It is a small family owned place and is nicely decorated - there is a place for kids to play with lots of toys; very convenient - we just leave our 3-year old son and eat in peace. The location of the restaurant is not great, but the parking is free and plentiful. Pros: Great cheap food, Kids friendly, Nice inside Cons: Strip mall location? more
