The worst restaurant experience I have ever had in the Portland Metro area. Went to lunch with a group of friends and we all ordered at the same time. Everyone in the group orde...

The Best You Can Get 6/30/2005

My husband and I go here often. We think it's the best Thai food you can get! We love the intimate setting, and also enjoy excellent service, the best food, and service here. Located on the corner of Denver and Portland next to Papa Murphy's. They do alot of take out too if you want to get it to go. Food comes out quickly. Pros: Excellent Food, Excellent Service, Excellent Value more

Great every time 6/24/2005

Very consistant in all depts: speed, service, taste, price. Portions are somewhat smaller but still fill you up (you probably won't have any left-overs though). Still a great value with great taste, service, and good hygene (hey, this is North Portland!) more

Spice of North Portland 6/10/2005

I stumbled on this while picking up a pizza - wish it was the Thai food then but returned and found my expectations fully met. Wonderful food with wonderful service. more

Hidden gem 6/6/2005

Mu Husband and I love this place...some fo the nest Thai we have ever had...the service is great and the food is consistantly delicious. You will not be disappointed!! more

Best Tom Ga soup in Town ! 3/23/2005

though located in a mini strip mall, don't judge this place by it's place: It's Thailand on the inside!!!! Tom Ga soup is simply killer and best I've had. Not too heavy on coconut or lemongrass and just enough spice to enjoy it. veggies aren't soggy and the meat is just right/tender. atmosphere is a whatever but who cares: it's the food that matters. peanut sauce is not just peanut butter from a jar: it's the real deal! I go 1x a week with take out. Pros: authentic, A+ service, ingredients more

Thai Food...North Portland?? Yes believe it! 2/10/2005

This unassuming little Thai restaurant doesn't let you down. The location is epic near our home and is very reasonably priced. My wife prefers the Yellow Curry with Chicken and orders it all the time. You have to try this place out! Thanks Thai Ginger =) more

The start of something wonderful 2/4/2005

Thai Ginger is the start of a positive change in North Portland. This small place serves the very best Thai food in Portland: fresh food, excellent prices, big portions and the friendly owner makes you always feel welcome. My partner and i have been coming here, or doing take out, weekly since it opened in early 2002, and we are never disappointed. Pros: fresh good food, inexpensive Cons: , parking more

Yum Yum! 8/5/2004

This Thai place is awesome! The food is fresh and has great flavor. I love their Pad Prik....lotsa veggies and rice cooked to perfection. The staff is impressive for such a casual location. North Portland needs good restaurants - and this is one of them! My only gripe is parking isn't great and the outside of the building isn't very inviting. Its clean....but, boring. Patio chairs might be nice or something. If you like Thai food you can't deny that Thai Ginger is one of the Top 5 Best in Portland. Pros: Reasonable prices, Food Quality Cons: , Exterior facade more

awesome food, reasonable prices 11/8/2003

this is our favorite thai restaurant in portland. always prompt, personable service, and food that is top shelf. tom yum soup is a fave, esp when compared with the tom yum at places like typhoon!, there's really no comparison. Pros: service, fresh food, price Cons: parking, ambiance more

Guaranteed to be good 4/17/2003

This terrific little restaurant is consistantly wonderful. Great food, little or no wait, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. more

Finally, Thai Food in North Portland!!!! 3/31/2003

Normally, you have to pay big bucks for food this great. And, you have to venture downtown or SE. This is a great North Portland location even if it is in a small strip of connected businesses. They did a great job of remodeling the inside to reflect the Thai heritage. The vegetables are fresh and crisp (not overcooked or undercooked!) and the meat is lean and tasty. The portions are more than adequate and the menu is quite extensive for such a small place. The service is fast and courteous so I highly recommend giving them a try. Pros: North Portland Locale Cons: Parking more

Good eats in an unlikely place 2/6/2003

A nice addition to the neighborhood: friendly service, excellent food, and convenient to North Portland neighborhoods. Pros: tasty food, good portions, cheap and cheerful Cons: strip mall decor more
