Editorial review from Citysearch 12/14/2013

Nauseating in every respect. A filthy dirty establishment staffed by uncaring unfriendly people. The menu is overpriced and the quality abysmal. Save yourselves a handful of tums, find anyplace other than Thai Elephant. more

Horrible Food 6/19/2011

This is the worst Thai restaurant I have visited. The location of this restaurant was the deciding factor for us to chose it. ( Its besides Macy's in Tanasbourne, really commercial place). The place is huge, however has a poor service. The waiters are really rude. We had ordered Pad Thai and yellow curry ( chicken). Though both of them were horrible. The waiter kept on looking at our table, guess was waiting for us to leave as soon as possible. The place is also higher priced as compared to Thai restaurants . However the chicken is chewy and both the dishes had no taste!! more

Clean, nice servers, timely 10/10/2010

There is a reason this restaurant is always busy. The place is clean, the staff is very friendly, and the food comes out in a quick and timely manner even when it's busy! The food was pretty good, a 4/5 for me. However, the curry is a bit on the watery side. Please don't water down the curry next time. Overall, 4 stars =) more

Great fresh flavors 3/30/2010

I just got back from here for dinner and it was excellent. My friend told me he had a great dish of pineapple fried rice and that I would like this place. Both of us have worked in professional kitchens for years. Pros: food presentation and flavors Cons: unfriendly service more

Tried to order . . . 8/9/2009

But like a previous reviewer, they never answered the phone. So I ordered from Zab Thai in Hillsboro instead and it was excellent! more

Pad Thai disgusting... 6/19/2009

I am writing this right after I started eating my to go pad thai - disgusting no flavor watery sauce, all I see is noodles and oil! I wont be back, really gross! If I could give zero stars I would - Cons: everything for this visit more

Don't answer the phone 12/31/2007

I found their listing in my Entertainment book and decided to try them out tonight. I convinced my kids to try something different and we called them. Their phone rang and rang and no one ever answered. Well, I will just go back to my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. more

Another good Thai restaurant 12/22/2007

Certainly if you?re from Thailand you can appreciate the name of this Thai restaurant since the Elephant is the country?s national symbol. more

Good Curry, Nice Atmosphere and Good Service 9/17/2007

While eating lunch here, I found the atmosphere to be warm, the interior upscale and the bamboo tables quaint. They start each table off with a delicious soup, which was a nice touch. The service was prompt and attentive and when we asked questions regarding the menu, they knew what they were talking about. The panang curry with beef was excellent, however the thin noodle and chicken dish that my partner had was only average. We will be back, but will try a different entree next time. Pros: Excellent panang curry, nice atmosphere, location Cons: One chicken and noodle entree lacked flavor more

I hope this place sticks around 3/23/2007

I have been to many thai food resturants and this is one of the best. Prices were average but the food was well above average. Good portions, very fresh, well presented, and YUMMY! The tofu was done perfectly. The service was good, not great. The restuarant was clean and comfortable and in a great location. I will definitely be going back for their spring rolls, yellow curry, and pad thai! Pros: ambiance, parking, yummy Cons: ok service more

Below average food, horrible service. 12/20/2006

Food service was prompt and attentive, that?s were everything went wrong. After ordering three dishes, and an appetizer the food was not as good as some said. At the end of our meal I tried to use a Visa gift card, the manager said that he was unable to use the card and said it was declined. Turns out that he charged the gift card and lied to us and said that he was unable to use that card. After below average food and bad service I would not recommend this establishment. Pros: Decent prices Cons: After meal customer service more

Great food 11/14/2006

So the food was great and the thai tea is so good. My only problem was the customer service. It seemed like everyone that worked there was having a bad day. Pros: Good food and Thai tea Cons: poor service more

Great Curry and Great Fried Rice 11/13/2006

The food is great, all the curries are wonderful, the crab fried rice is good and there are big chunks of crab too. The coconut ice cream for desert is good. I am getting hungry just writing this.... The price is not bad either and if you go for lunch there is a cheaper lunch menu. Pros: Good Food Cons: That I can't get there every day. more

No babysitting, but great food 4/14/2006

I was very happy with the food, menu, wine selection and the cafe-""ish""/bistro decor and atmosphere. I was hoping for something with a little more ambiance but it did have a cute charm. The service was sub-par. I'm being nice. But if you don't really need to be babysat and want to enjoy the company you are with without needing much outside influence, you'll be fine. The night we were there one server short and it seemed there was neither a manager nor a host/hostess to seat people so the 3-4 servers there were doing everything. The kitchen is wide open to the dining area, the bar is in a little corner near the front with a TV for sports enthusiasts. I enjoyed Thai Elephant. Staff was friendly, but definitely overwhelmed. Certainly worth a casual night out for Thai, as long as you don't have to be pampered. Pros: Food, Menu, Wine Cons: Slow service, short on ambiance, slightly noisy more

food great service terrible 6/28/2005

I am a regular here and love the food. But the past few times the service has been horrible. I am not a difficult customer. They need to step it up a notch or they are going to loose a loyal customer. Pros: great food Cons: service more
