So I saw this restaurant advertised on TV, and their great shrimp flautas, and had to know if it was good. So my boyfriend and I went, and was greeted by a less than enthused host staff. After we were seated, the waitress, who we will call R, finally came over to take our drink order, but just like the host staff, she had the enthusiasm of a Brit on the 4th of July. Food came, and the shrimp flautas were actually good, really greasy, but really good. My boyfriend's tamales were bland, and my beef flautas were edible to say the least. Well check time came, and our waitress, R, dropped off the ticket with an extra meal we never ordered added to the ticket. Thankfully for my boyfriend's cunning eye, he caught it, and he told her to take it off. So he and I split the ticket, and when it came to signing the credit slips I noticed that I had two different credit slips in my check folder. She had charged me for not only my meal, but another tables meal. I patiently waited to ask her about it, and she said she accidentally ran it, but voided it out. I asked her for the void slip, and she said there was no void slip. What got me, was that she didn't even bother to mention it to me, and I had to track her down myself to ask her about her error. So if you are looking for bland food, zombie like waiters/waitresses, and a host staff that are as exciting as a paper cup, then by all means visit the Texican. All I know is I wasted my hard earned money on my meal, and I guess someone else's.
Pros: Shrimp Flautas are pretty good.
Cons: Hosts, wait staff, and bland tamales and flautas.
