Don't go 9/14/2008

I ate here last night and was less then impressed. I am a steak lover and like to try different places. I used to eat at Outback, I thought I would try something new and the steak was dry, service slow and didn't care for the vibe. My new favorite place is Saltgrass Steakhouse. That place is amazing. I have eaten there 3 times now and everything was so good. It is most definitly worth trying. It's a couple dollars more then Outback but well worth it. more

AVOID ALL TOGETHER 4/14/2008

My husband and I finally had a babysitter and couldnt wait to spend some time "kid free." Unfortunetly we ate here. Not only did it take someone 20 minutes to get our drink order, but no one could seem to figuare out who our waiter was. when my salad did finally arrive, it was served in a hot bowl. I can only assume fresh out of the dishwasher. My husband and I have a love for the ribeye, but the piece of meat given to us was no where close. Lots of grizzle and etreamly tough. They even took my steak back to find a better cut of meat, but that ened poorly! Someone in management told me that grizzle and tough is how ribeyes are and that i could have ordered a different cut. I would not recommend eating here ever! Pros: My dog had lots of leftovers Cons: everything else more

Texas Bland and Saddle? 2/3/2008

Mushy undercooked shrimp, tough, tasteless filet and an overall unpleasant experience. Try Roadhouse, Steaksmith or better yet...Ruth's Chris in my hometown...Houston. Authentic Texan accents!! Pros: lots of parking...that may a bad sign Cons: all the above more

Best T-Bone in Town 1/30/2008

Go to Outback Instead 1/29/2008

I don't eat steak, but I went here for a holiday work party. The staff was friendly, but not attentive to our large group. The appetizers were just normal fried foods and nothing really fancy. Some people said the steaks were good, but I heard more about the fact that next year we should go somewhere else. I thought the staff was rude vacuuming around us while we were still in the restaurant. We WERE the last to leave, but I've managed food service before.. and you just don't do that. Pros: Well.. it was open. Cons: Service rude, food average more

Looking forward to a good steak 1/16/2008

This place was highly recommended to me for good steaks. I'm going to check it out and will update my review after we eat there. Initial recommendation is just from word of mouth. more

Signature Smoked Sirloin is SUPERB! 1/13/2008

If you like steak the Signature Smoked Sirloiin is a must try. We did, and we can't seem to order anything else! It is so good we only want to order The Signature Smoked Sirloin! I order mine rare and it melts in your mouth. The garlic mashed potatoes are good - and we once even saved room for the fried icecream rolled in nuts. It was larapin! (Okie for fabulous). We appreciate the Lunch P unch Cards - that keeps us coming back for those rewards! And two-punch Mondays are the best! The wait staff is fabulous, we especially enjoy Q! Pros: Mondays are not crowded! Lighting is low and cozy. Staff attentive. Cons: none more

Best Steaks in town 1/3/2008

We have enjoyed the restaurant tremendously. Each and every steak that we have ordered has been fixed to our satisfaction. The service has always been great with the outmost knowledge of every item on the menu. This restaurant is better thasn any of the other steak restaurants in the colorado springs area. Pros: excellent food, excellent service, great menu selections Cons: N/A more

Not Impressed 12/11/2007

I sat at the bar for dinner on a weekday evening and immediately noticed the big push to buy gift cards (on the building, on counters, and even on the server nametags. I thought my server's name was Gift Tag. "Ms. Tag, it is a pleasure to meet you". She was courteous and friendly, but then predicted happened. Someone wanted a $100 gift card, and another one of the bar tenders rang her up to get credit. For the next hour, I enjoyed listening to two bartenders bicker about what the other one did. The seller of the card looked at me and said, "Sorry, but I like the money". Not exactly a relaxing, enjoyable, or productive atmosphere. Management is to blame for these types of poorly executed incentives. The beer and the filet was way overpriced, and not that great. Save your money, and go somewhere else. more

Best Nachos 12/7/2007

They have the best nachos I've ever had!!! Also really good wedge salad, steaks and bread. The service is always great and the staff is always friendly. A great place for a great meal! Pros: service, cost Cons: ambience more

Great food. Wedge salad, smoked steak, and bread 12/3/2007

This is one of our favorite restaurants. Everything on the menu is good at a reasonable price. It's highly recomended. Pros: Food more

It is the best steak in town!! 11/30/2007

Texas land and cattle has the best steaks in town. I would recommend it to anyone who loves good steak. It is by far better than any other steakhouse here or anywhere. Pros: Food Cons: Some of the prices more

Great Restaurant 11/28/2007

I'm not a steak eater... but enjoy this restaurant. It's a great atmosphere where you can bring the kids and enjoy a good meal. Not too fancy and good customer service ENJOY! Pros: You won't leave hungry Cons: Wish was closer to home more

Good Food 11/15/2007

The quality of food speaks for itself. We had a great time and will visit again soon. It's my husbands favorite spot. Pros: Good food Cons: No RSVPS more

Outstanding Flavor and Service 11/2/2007

I first experienced Texas Land and Cattle in Albuquerque, New Mexico while on a golf excursion. The flavor was distinctive, unique, and FAN-TAS-TIC. My son and I had the signature meal and we both remarked at how great the food was and wished that there was one of these restaurants in Colorado Springs. Can?t begin to tell you how glad we were to see the restaurant move in to Colorado Springs! We have now frequented this establishment on several occasions and have always found, not only the food phenomenal, but the service outstanding. more

Good Steak and Good Service 10/12/2007

My wife and I enjoy taking our teenagers to the TL&CC for just a nice meal out. No hassles and good service combined with good food is a great start to an evening. Not the presumptuous attitude other steak houses in town have but a nice friendly atmosphere. Pros: Good service and good food Cons: none more

Best steak in town 10/4/2007

I've tried several places around Colorado Springs searching for a good steak, but none has satisfied the way that the new Texas Land and Cattle has. If you've tried the Famous, Saltgrass, and McKenzie's but still seem to come up short then this is the place for you. Not only was my steak done to perfection, but the service and the atmosphere were excellent. They don't accept reservations but call ahead seating is recommended. You won't be disappointed. Pros: Service, Quality Cons: Location more
