The plumber took LESS than 30 minutes to complete the job but billed me for 1 1/2 hours labor! Beware! I am willing to pay for good service but it must be at a fair and reasonable price. more

This company is terrible, ridiculously over priced and more a scam than a legitimate plumber, in my opinion. I called for an estimate on a simple leak (hole) in an exposed pipe. Of three companies called, Terry?s made a bid 3 to 4 times more expensive than the others. They also claimed an entire section of house plumbing needed to removed and installed new. Terry?s also quotes in fixed prices. So while the prices are set, you as a consumer have no way of knowing how much of that price is for labor, materials, mark up, etc. Our simple leaks was fixed by an old fashioned, honest plumber for about 1/3 of what Terry quoted Pros: none Cons: ?scam artists? very over priced more

price was almost twice as much as quoted at first. When I complained they were just rude!!! Bad experience!! Will not be a customer in the future. Would NOT recommend! more

I had some plumbing problems that needed addressed and i called a couple of the bigger companies in Pittsburgh for some estimates. Terry's Plumbing came to my house second for the estimate and without even knowing the other prices they were the lowest. The other companies were so extremely high I laughed at them and said bye. Terry's was able to start the work that day and were very professional. I am very thankful there is good company out there that will not put the homeowner through the cleaners. Charged me $240.00 to replace hot and cold shower faucet stems and seats which took less than a half hour to do even while moving at a snail's pace.I was expecting the bill to be around $180.00 tops. The plumber was very nice and personable as well as very competent, but I got washed on the bill. I did have a pennysaver coupon which brought the total to $220.00. I will comparison shop/get price estimates in the future. more

I have used Terry's Plumbing a couple of times in the past. They are notoriously expensive but they have been reliable, dependable and quick -- and I don't mind paying a bit extra for that. They make a big deal out of telling you they charge by the job, not by the hour -- which is just a way for them to obscure the cost. With my most recent experience, the quote was so ridiculously high that I sent the plumber packing. I am fairly well experienced with plumbing and knew exactly what needed to be done -- I just didn't have time to do it. They wanted $275 for 1 hours worth of work (his estimate of 1 hour, not mine). There are many other quality plumbers in town that charge reasonable rates for routine plumbing; there is no need to use Terry's Plumbing. more

We had a pipe burst in our house and needed a plumber quickly. My neighbor swears by this place so we thought we'd give them a try. I'm happy that we did. The service person came quickly and was extremely nice, given the fact that I was probably not in the best of moods and very stressed out. He was also very nice to my children, who were peering over at him and asking him a thousand questions. He had everything he needed with him and it did not take him long at all. The price seemed reasonable and overall I had a really good experience with this company. more
