I would have to agree with meganr15, their sanitation level is very low, and that is why I will never go to Tepanyaki again. My reason for not going ever again is because I saw a...

Tepanyaki 11/14/2010

Tepenyaki steakhouse does have good food. But it is extremely exspensive. You can go to your corner sushi place and get food that tastes just as good for cheaper. It is a nice place to take a date because they cook infront of you, but to go on a weekly basis i would hit up a local sushi bar more

BAD MANAGEMENT AND HORRIBLE SANITATION!!! 3/7/2007

I would have to agree with meganr15, their sanitation level is very low, and that is why I will never go to Tepanyaki again. My reason for not going ever again is because I saw and smelled cigarettes being smoked by the chiefs in the back while they were cutting the meat!!! (been there last week) Pros: servers were the best I have seen around town but . . . Cons: the management and sanitation is horrible and distusting more

Worst experience of my life 3/5/2007

Tepanyaki has been one of my favorite restaurants until Saturday. My husband and I were there for our first anniversary. I was happily eating my noodles when I bit down on something that was not chewable. So, I took it out of my mouth and put it in my napkin and found that it was a used band-aid. I was freaking out! The hostess didn't really seem to think it was that big of a deal and still tried to charge my husband for his food. I can't believe I held my food down, I wish I hadn't. This completely ruined my anniversary! I am terribly disgusted and am still gagging over this experience. Pros: Usually great food Cons: Very bad experience, treated poorly, unsanitary more

Food is incredible, portions are big, chefs are fun and professional, service is good. LOVE IT! 2/14/2007

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The chefs have always been very professional and fun and I've eaten here many times. The steak and shrimp is excellent, the veggies included with every meal are amazing, and I really like everything I've ordered. Its so delicious! If you don't enjoy eating with strangers, bring six to ten people to avert the occasional possibility of sitting with bratty toddlers or annoying red necks. For me,its never been a problem, but I can see how some people who want a private dining experience could be annoyed. Pros: Great food, tender steak, awesome sauces, delicious veggies, professional chefs Cons: no sushi but then again its not a sushi place, potentially annoying people at table more

TERRIBLE 1/2/2007

My friend and I dined here about a week ago, and it was, honestly, the worst dining experience of my life. We were sat next to a group of young people, which was fine, except for the fact that the chef was more interested in impressing them than doing his job. He swore constantly, got every single order at the table wrong, and at one point, even used one of the cooking sauces as his 'you know what', and sqirting it all over the table. Even the young people at the table who he was trying to impress were disgusted. That is the last time I will ever waste that much time or money on Tepanyaki. Pros: The food was good, so was the waitress Cons: THE CHEF!!! more

Best Noodles!! 6/30/2006

We visit Tepanyaki somewhat frequently. You just can't get better noodles (well maybe outside this Utah bubble I live in, but...) You get a ton of food (I can never finish) and the atmosphere is fun. It's like dinner and entertainment in one (if you get the right chef). Pros: NOODLES Cons: Seated w/ Stranger so sometimes it can be odd more

Worst restaraunt experience ever 5/13/2006

The worst hostess ever is working here at Tepanyaki in Lehi. She rolls her eyes at customers, doesn't listen and even yells and argues w/ the customer at the top of her lungs . That was our experience. I am not exagerrating! We wanted sushi but she wouldnt let us sit at the sushi bar. She said we had to sit at the hibachi, For sushi? Bizarre! Cons: rude, inept hostess more

Awesome Japanese 8/15/2003

I absolutely LOVED this place. This was the first time I went, they threw shrimp in everyone's mouths, it's a lot like Benihana, but not as bright, definitely not as crowded, and you can understand your waitress better. The food was a LOT better, and you definitely go home either very stuffed, or with lots of leftovers! And Benihana's is like $25 a plate, Tepanyaki is like $15 a plate and it's better. I will definitely be going again! (And you don't smell like the food! LOL) Also, they give you a nice bright HOT fire show on your grill. :) Pros: fun, uncrowded, tasty, inexpensive Cons: not for small kids more

Food, fun and adventure. 11/5/2002

I loved Tepanyaki. The service was quick and the food was great. Our chef had the best attitude and was so much fun. He made our dining experience excellent. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a great meal and great entertainment. Pros: Not crowced, inexpensive, fun more
