Temptations Cafe

I was walking on Beacon street, and came in to order a smoothie for a friend and me. I paid for our smoothies. Then I was told that all smoothies MUST be made with apple juice only. WTF? Sorry but you can't get your drink made your way at this poorly run cafe. I asked if I could get it made with milk or soymilk, and was told absolutely not. I am not kidding about this. I asked to speak to a manager to see if perhaps he/she would be more flexible. I was told that there was no manager working that day. So I even offered to pay extra. The girl behind the counter refunded my money ($10), and made clear she wasn't interested in making a smoothie unless it had apple juice in it. I tried to go to their web site to give feedback to the owner, and their website is broken and won't accept messages. This is a very poorly run cafe that trains their employees terribly. I refuse to go back there. I now get great smoothies at Boloco, which is happy to customize the smoothie I want. more

Usually Boston is all busy hustle and bustle but if you find yourself out in the Brookline or Coolidge Corner area you should definitely hit up Temptations Cafe. The place is clean and relaxed with good vibes and the food is great. There is free wifi and it's a great place to meet up with people because there is always ample seating unlike a lot of the other surrounding cafes. more

i like the music selection here. Temptations is laid back and relaxed. They offer wide variety of fresh foods, coffee, and tea. They are locally owned operated. Unlike other places in Coolidge Corner it's usually never packed or over run with people. The staff is super friendly and they offer an hour of free wireless internet. more

This place is amazing! They are fast, efficient, and very nice every time I have come here. I have had the Mozzarella and Avocado Wrap, and the Hummus and Tabouli Wrap with Chicken added. For about $10, which some may say is steep, the portion is HUGE. I usually get half to eat here, and half to go. The ingredients are fresh and taste AUTHENTIC! I think it's difficult to find a restaurant that makes authentic tasting hummus and tabouli, with the right amount of lemon...and I believe they have the best around! And the wrap is always full of the ingredients- no skimping here. They also offer daily specials, posted on a chalkboard thing outside, and free wifi. Definitely a staple for me. I have not had everything on the menu, but from what I have had, I have no doubt it's all probably pretty good! more

Temptations Cafe in coolidge corner is a great place to get out of the hustle and bustle of busy Boston and take a minute to enjoy some freash coffee or fresh sandwiches. It's a new favorite of mine. more

This is my place to eat and study. It's clean even the bathroom. The interior is nice. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful. Food is great and very generous in portion. Love their big mugs of tea. Of all the cafes in Coolidge Corner, Temptations Cafe is the best. more

For those like me have been hovering for an uncomfortable and often unavailable seat and who have been paying $10 for an hour of unreliable wifi at Peets in Coolidge Corner, let me say, we have been idiots. Temptations is just around the corner, spacious, has plenty of comfy seating, eclectic music at good sound level, nice staff, makes good lattes, nice tea selection, cheaper, offers more food options (panini's are very good, I LOVE their sweet temptations (pressed brioche sandwiches with goodies like bananas, nutella, PB, fig jam...dusted w/ powdery goodness), and you know what, my wifi has FULL bars... for all freakin' afternoon. Oh yeah, and I don't smell like walking coffee grounds when I leave either. Thank you. more

i really enjoy going here. These guys are so friendly and happy to serve you. Not to mention the food and drinks are delicious. I'm usually just an iced coffee type person but i do like lattes every so often. The breakfast burritos here are awesome. Best cafe/sandwiches in coolidge corner by far oh yeah and free wifi! more

they are such a nice place with good food drinks and friendly faces. We were there late this past evening from out of town and it was quiet and the food was just as fresh as any time during the day. more

I also enjoy the Mozzarella Avocado on french bread. It always tastes great. As well as the breakfast burrito or the lattes. The muffins are great and pair well with the coffee they have there. It's clean and friendly and i'll be returning soon. more
