Teavana

I have become addicted to this place. A Genmaicha in the morning, a Macha Shake in the afternoon. Seriously. I would go twice a day if I could. The little quiches and tortes are yummy too. Also, the owner is so friendly and helpful, always making great reccomendations. Also the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. Where else can you sit by the fire place and play Connect Four? A friend of mine recommended that I go to Teavana and try the Matcha shake. She is a good friend. First of all, its a great place. The staff is so helpful and you can tell they all really love being there. I havent recieved that kind of great service in a long time. Second, it is so clean, well lit and cute! I love the fire place. FREE WIRELESS!!! And last, but not least, the tea was amazing. I find myself on Polk St. dailey now. Im working my way through over 100 teas, I will not stop until I've tried them all. The best part is, I feel so much better. I don't get the afternoon coffee crash, my skin feels better, and I know it is so much better for me....You've got to check it out! Pros: yummy, clean, helpful staff more

This place is phenomenal...beautiful confused, (not as confused as they were at Green World Mercantile a few years ago or maybe I was just younger then), new age women at work and at play.... We especially like Rachael, Kay, Eunice, Christa etc in any order....Johnathan is a very funny and likeable guy and raves to occasional guest star Tea Bacigalupi. And the tea is first rate too ...my favorites...thai tea w/german rock sugar and condensed milk...caramel macadamia rooibos....the currant scones are also good. Come in and take a break from the greed heads, MBAs and Greek system and lil sisters that seem to be washing up on the beach here on Russian hill...free wireless too. Finally a place I can go to and enjoy some tea. There are so many different varieties to choose from, I still havent experienced them all. I have been searching for a good tea shop for quite some time now and I am glad I found this one. The people are wonderful and I love the location. more

First off, the service from the beautiful ladies behind the counter makes Teavana a definite stop while in SF. Not to mention the incredible selection of tasty teas and treats. For all those laptop people its also a hot spot for all your wireless needs. The cozy fireplace adds to the warm atmosphere. If your looking for gifts or accessories, they've got that to. If you want a place to hang out, sip a warm beverage, and read a good book, but you're ""too cool"" for Starbuck's (and really, who isn't?), this Polk Street Tea House is just the place. Coffee Houses are SO 2002....become truly blissful at Teavana! more

The best part about this place? They have every kind of fix for any kind of malady. I go here when I'm suffering from a hangover, PMSing, have a cold, or just feel grumpy. Probably the friendliest staff you'll ever run into. You can order from the menu or you can just tell them what sort of drink you're looking for and they'll create it for you and bring it to you while you sit by the fireplace. I didn't know what to expect when I walked into Teavana but I was delighted to see a cute, clean shop with a huge selection of teas and teapots!! The employees were so sweet and knowledgeable.. I walked out with a beautiful Japanese teapot and some ""loose leaf"" tea to make at home. I had no idea tea could be this good! This is a place EVERYONE should know about. Great well-lit place to study, or catch up with friends and you never run out of tea options. Polk street has so many great places and this is the best tea around. The staff has great suggestions and they don't kick you out right at closing time. The free wireless internet doesn't hurt - definitely check this place out.
